We had the fish and chips was OK but I guess being Canadian it was not as good to my taste as our shop in Winnipeg. The food was hot...and not overly expensive. Atmosphere just OK.

I included the Lion in my favourites list after taking it off because food was awful. My last 2 Sunday roasts were very poor. Service is bad and food of very poor quality. I always had the lamb and the reason of why I started eating at the lion again is because i though they've improved food and services because... More

Absolutely loved this pub! Went in for a quick drink and ended up staying for 2 hours! Loved the decoration, the ambience, the lighting, the seating (if you can get on the big comfy sofas it is ace!), and the crowd. The staff are very friendly and fast, lovely place all-round and I just wish I was in that area... More

Good typical English food - fish and chips, etc. Good beer selection on draft - cask beers too. Nice folks to serve you in a friendly atmosphere. All ages seem to gather here so everyone feels welcome.

Stopped in for a beer while overnighting in the area. Fast service and a reasonable range of beers on tap. Not quite a traditional pub but more in the "modern traditional" which is to say a restaurant made to look like a pub. Although I did not eat, the food looked good.

It was packed yet comfortable. Very nice place. Has a couple of beers there. Didn't eat much because it was crowded.

This pub where we met friends is just around the corner from Queensway tube station. It was getting crowded early on a Saturday evening but we found a table towards the back. We thoroughly enjoyed our veggie burger and hot sandwich plus chips and garlic bread. The coffee I had was very nice also. Staff were friendly and efficient throughout, finding... More

The lion has a great atmosphere, good selection of wines and a great roast. Service could be improved (timing and politeness) but generally speaking all is good. The garden is incredible and my friends had a good burger. I am glad the food had an improvement as it was really bad a while ago. Good one! Oh! And it would... More

Stopped by because we couldn't check into our hotel. They had a great breakfast and were very friendly. The only issue I had was that they were out of cider. Cute place.
