Description: Renowned throughout London and beyond, Petrus is one of the biggest names...
Renowned throughout London and beyond, Petrus is one of the biggest names on the restaurant scene. With the world-renowned Gordon Ramsay behind the scheme to raise Petrus - now located on Knightsbridge's Kinnerton Street - from the ashes, the restaurant exudes the famous Ramsay sense of luxury combined with down-to-earth charm. Decorated in subtle tones of champagne, oyster and copper along with the claret red which inspired the restaurant's name, Petrus's beguiling interior is superbly decadent and romantic and actually quite intimate. In the kitchen, Head Chef Sean Burbidge is creating its trademark modern French menu. At Petrus the highest-quality ingredients go into dishes that combine delicious familiar flavours with unique presentation. Expect waves of divine amuse-bouches and a stupendous wine list, including a long list of vintages of Petrus to make it all perfect.

During our 7-day tour in London, we have chosen the Kitchen Table at Petrus for one of our lunches. We had the bespoke menu which was very delicious. My favourite dish was the chocolate sphere. It's a lifetime experience to dine in the kitchen and see how the engine room works. It's not as noisy and tense as you saw... More

I was with a large group and we sampled the five course tasting menu. All items were above average and few were out of this world. The scallops were terrific.

My wife and I had heard so much about this Michelin starred Gordon Ramsay restaurant that we had to try it since we were visiting London. The restaurant itself was pleasantly decorated if not a bit austere and understated. Certainly no head turner. The service, while generally excellent, fell a little short with consistency. The food itself, while good by... More

The atmosphere is great. They give you a feeling you are really welcome from the first step into the restaurant. Friendly staff. Loads of them serving you and attending to you table. Perfection at every step. I visited in October 2014... But I had to write a review now. Even gave us a tour of the kitchen. Very proffesional. Leave... More

I tried the Petrus restaurant to celebrate my birthday, so decided to treat me and my wife. Everything was perfect, from the service to food. Polite and calm atmosphere accompanied by top class dishes with tastes we will never forget. We tried the chef tasting menu, and it was highly satisfying! Hopefully we will come back soon.

Very nice restaurant, too quiet. I missed some ambience sound. Food was great, but i believe if you could go for a lunch menu, it would be more cost effective.

I came here on my first day in London and ate by myself as a special treat. The location is fantastic near foreign embassies. The staff were magnificent to be fair. Restaurant is petite, well designed and the conical modernistic wine cellar is centrally placed. The food was very good indeed and worth the money. Don't bother with the cheese... More

Staying in Belgravia

Neighborhood Profile
Belgravia
Home to the vast majority of embassies and diplomatic residences in London, sophisticated and upscale Belgravia also boasts a wealth of luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, and some of the city’s most stroll worthy lanes. While the prices here are high, taking a leisurely stroll through the streets of picturesque and elegant white stucco houses is free. Hyde Park and the Buckingham Palace Gardens are only a stone's throw away to the north, and some of Europe’s best shopping is nearby as well.
