Description: Renowned throughout London and beyond, Petrus is one of the biggest names...
Renowned throughout London and beyond, Petrus is one of the biggest names on the restaurant scene. With the world-renowned Gordon Ramsay behind the scheme to raise Petrus - now located on Knightsbridge's Kinnerton Street - from the ashes, the restaurant exudes the famous Ramsay sense of luxury combined with down-to-earth charm. Decorated in subtle tones of champagne, oyster and copper along with the claret red which inspired the restaurant's name, Petrus's beguiling interior is superbly decadent and romantic and actually quite intimate. In the kitchen, Head Chef Sean Burbidge is creating its trademark modern French menu. At Petrus the highest-quality ingredients go into dishes that combine delicious familiar flavours with unique presentation. Expect waves of divine amuse-bouches and a stupendous wine list, including a long list of vintages of Petrus to make it all perfect.

We had a totally amazing meal. The starter, main, cheese and dessert were fantastic. The sommelier was helpful with the extensive wine list and helped us choose a non-expensive bottle. The amuse bouche were well matched and not too filling. Staff were friendly and efficient without being too over attentive - as can sometimes happen in these higher end restaurants.... More

Four of us went to Petrus for Saturday lunch. We chose the set menu at £35.50 as most other diners appeared to do. However, we managed to double the bill with 4 glasses of wine, plenty of bottled water, 3 main course supplements and the service charge. The outstanding dish was the garden salad starter. On a bed of creamed... More

My husband and I looked very forward to our trip to London and we were more than happy that we got a reservation at Patrus. Unfortunately it didn't reached our expectations. The food was good but came way too fast after each other. Same for the wines. Eventually there were 6 glasses on our table. I have asked the waiter... More

Everything from the atmosphere, décor, food and service was fantastic. I went with clients who paid so not sure of the cost but you certainly get what you paid for. the chocolate sphere pudding is one of the signature dishes and I would recommend this. we didn't know what wine to go for so the sommelier chose one for us,... I have been to a number of michelin star restaurants in London and this is the best I have experienced so far, not just for the carefully planned, put together meals and taste combinations but for the staffs ability to go the extra mile, to make you feel comfortable, relaxed but yet nothing is too much trouble. Can't wait to... More

If you want better value for money do petrus for lunch. Laid back atmosphere and faultless service that top Ramsey restaurants always seem to nail. I somehow manage to leave feeling like I know every member of staff but without them being over intrusive. Food was very tasty and good selection of booze. Not sure this is better than royal... Visited for my 30th Birthday Meal and we weren't disappointed. Staff were very friendly on arrival and my dislike of mushrooms was noted and didn't cause any problems for them at all (no mean feat in a French inspired restaurant!) they even made me a different pre-starter of a mixed beetroot cube, instead of the mushrooms on toast my husband... Staying in Belgravia

Neighborhood Profile
Belgravia
Home to the vast majority of embassies and diplomatic residences in London, sophisticated and upscale Belgravia also boasts a wealth of luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, and some of the city’s most stroll worthy lanes. While the prices here are high, taking a leisurely stroll through the streets of picturesque and elegant white stucco houses is free. Hyde Park and the Buckingham Palace Gardens are only a stone's throw away to the north, and some of Europe’s best shopping is nearby as well.
