Description: Renowned throughout London and beyond, Petrus is one of the biggest names on the restaurant scene. With the world-renowned Gordon Ramsay behind the scheme to raise Petrus - now located on Knightsbridge's Kinnerton Street - from the ashes, the restaurant exudes the famous Ramsay sense of luxury combined with down-to-earth charm. Decorated in subtle tones of champagne, oyster and copper along with the claret red which inspired the restaurant's name, Petrus's beguiling interior is superbly decadent and romantic and actually quite intimate. In the kitchen, Head Chef Sean Burbidge is creating its trademark modern French menu. At Petrus the highest-quality ingredients go into dishes that combine delicious familiar flavours with unique presentation. Expect waves of divine amuse-bouches and a stupendous wine list, including a long list of vintages of Petrus to make it all perfect.

We had an excellent meal at Petrus and the staff were very accommodating even when my youngest daughter wanted two started with one as a main course. The wines were matched perfectly to the food. A real birthday treat

My husband and I's last night in London we read the reviews for Petrus and decided to try it. Our meals was very expensive, we did get a bottle if wine! We LOVED it! The food was excellent! We choose our own 3 course meal and both enjoyed it! The service, best ever, very proper but also very comfortable. I... More

The food was extremely nice! I ate of off the tasting menu with matching wines. I especially enjoyed the scallops off of this menu! The staff were accommodating and very friendly! The only down point was the atmosphere, it really could have done with some light music. But apart from that it was fantastic! My dad really enjoyed his birthday... More

Very limited choice on the fixed lunch menu. A carbonara with little taste of parmesan,.small portions and fish basically undercooked. Elaborate preparations with mixtures of taste and texture not always succesful. We were grateful to get a doggy bag (a very beautiful Petrus branded doggybag) for the uneaten doughnut desert. However watch out for the cost of champagne and the... More

The atmosphere was very relaxed and we felt welcome from the very start. Visited Petrus for my birthday meal and we had a nice experience. Petrus is definitely one of the best dining experiences we've ever had. Food was incredible. The service was really good and quick and the setting was very stylish. I would highly recommend Petrus for a... More

We have been fortunate enough to visit this outstanding restaurant now on two very special occasions. This restaurant gets everything right . Although a tad on the pricey side worth every penny. Will be back again and again.

Thank you Petrus for helping us forget the terrible experience we had the previous night at Hakkasan. From the moment we walked in (a little bit late, but that was not an issue whatsoever), we felt discreetly looked after, paid attention to and in general provided the best service possible. Our companion for the night (because it is hard to... More

We went on a set menu lunch, the whole experience was fantastic . . .the welcome was warm, the food was incredible. Steak Tartare, Fois gras - all amazing, the wine list was varied enough for those on a (relatively) limited budget. The lollipops in dry ice was a great ending to a fantastic meal. i would totally recommend this... More

Had a late night booking in July which given the time it gets dark is the way to go! Ordered the tasting menu with fine wine pairing. Both wine and food alike were exceptional. The menu was a great combination of expensive ingredients and some more modest ingredients prepared well enough to excel at the highest levels. The restaurant has... More
