Description: Renowned throughout London and beyond, Petrus is one of the biggest names on the restaurant scene. With the world-renowned Gordon Ramsay behind the scheme to raise Petrus - now located on Knightsbridge's Kinnerton Street - from the ashes, the restaurant exudes the famous Ramsay sense of luxury combined with down-to-earth charm. Decorated in subtle tones of champagne, oyster and copper along with the claret red which inspired the restaurant's name, Petrus's beguiling interior is superbly decadent and romantic and actually quite intimate. In the kitchen, Head Chef Sean Burbidge is creating its trademark modern French menu. At Petrus the highest-quality ingredients go into dishes that combine delicious familiar flavours with unique presentation. Expect waves of divine amuse-bouches and a stupendous wine list, including a long list of vintages of Petrus to make it all perfect.

Highly recommend the Lunch Menu . Between the four of us we had all varieties of the Menu and Everything was superb , also the Sommeliers wine recommendation. Many of better known restaurants in New York, Paris or LA have yet to serve a meal at this scale, all so well presented , well paced and absolutely delicious. The staff... More

Under the recommendation of a friend and the understanding that this is a 1-star michelin restaurants, expectations were high but ultimately, the whole experience was a disaster. Venue - The place is nice and the ambience is good but the I wouldn't expect diners to be seated so close to each other, the distance between our table to the next... More

Firstly I would like to say I'm not a negative reviewer normally nor do I have an axe to grind with the venue. Every year we come to London to meet family and as a treat meet up in a special venue . We arrived on time at 7.45pm , welcomed, coats taken and shown to nice discreet table. The food... More

Liked: - use of innovation techniques and imagination in recipees, well done to the Chef! - well thought presentation of the dishes - makes everything appeal to you - good atmosphere, the restaurant is optimal for those who prefer airy space but not a cantine style either - very good wine and spirits list (a bit too much towards the... We had the tasting menu with wine pairing. The food was mostly nice, with the duck as the best dish. But we felt very rushed, plates were removed even before we had finished it. The service was uneven and not what we felt a restaurant at this level should have.

I am not sure how certain reviewers below have said that they felt the restaurant was stuffy and or pretentious. Given that this is a top 5 Michelin starred restaurant the dining room is extremely friendly and staff are always cherpy and chatty. Have you been anywhere else? Perhaps not. We arrived on Sunday evening for our anniversary meal, we... More

We had lunch today at Petrus. Everything was just great. The environment, the food, the impeccable service. We had the lunch menu, a 3 course menu. Not only was it delicious, it also costs only 38 pounds. Only weak point: they forgot the wine we ordered and we had to remind them. But overall it was a great experience and... More

Went there for my partners 32nd birthday. Can honestly say the meal was the best dining experience of my life. Food, wine and service were out of this world. Great formal dining experience without being too stuffy.
