Description: Renowned throughout London and beyond, Petrus is one of the biggest names on the restaurant scene. With the world-renowned Gordon Ramsay behind the scheme to raise Petrus - now located on Knightsbridge's Kinnerton Street - from the ashes, the restaurant exudes the famous Ramsay sense of luxury combined with down-to-earth charm. Decorated in subtle tones of champagne, oyster and copper along with the claret red which inspired the restaurant's name, Petrus's beguiling interior is superbly decadent and romantic and actually quite intimate. In the kitchen, Head Chef Sean Burbidge is creating its trademark modern French menu. At Petrus the highest-quality ingredients go into dishes that combine delicious familiar flavours with unique presentation. Expect waves of divine amuse-bouches and a stupendous wine list, including a long list of vintages of Petrus to make it all perfect.

Only 18 tables dominated in the center by a glass cylindrical wine "cellar" holding 1,500 bottles of wine. Impeccably trained staff serving picture-perfect courses. We chose the tasting menu and were delighted at each course and the unexpected (3) amuse-bouches. Pricey, but you know what?............VALUE.

This was a bithday 6 course taster menu meal that leaves you wanting to get the next visit in the diary. The staff were friendly, knowledgable but not pushy. The service was excellent. It was really very pleasant to be in a place where you could talk without having to raise you voice above the usual background noise or having... More

Visited Petrus for lunch and once again was not disappointed. The food was exquisite and paired with the professionalism and friendliness of all the staff, this culminated in another wonderful culinary experience – cannot wait to return.

Visited on a Monday lunchtime as a treat for my husband's birthday and had the tasting menu. From the start all the staff were highly professional - friendly and informative without being overly familiar. Nothing was too much trouble and they were at pains to ensure that we had no allergies or particular dislikes that should be brought to the... More

I have visited a few times in the last few years. I was greeted as a valued guest and shown to my usual table - such is the attention to detail from the wonderful staff here. I gather the head chef changed a few weeks back. The menu is definitely new and exciting, the quality is undiminished, simply faultless and... More

We went to Petrus while on holidays in London for my friends birthday. With restaurants like this there is always the risk that expectations might be too high, but I am pleased to say that the meal surpassed all our expectations. We didnt order off the set menu as the choices were a bit limited and went a la carte,... More

Hubby booked as a surprise and what a nice surprise! :) Lovely decoration and lighting. The waiters were great, impeccable service. Food was lovely, we went for the tasting menu. I have to say that the food was not the strong point but the waiters. Great night.

I've been a bit tardy leaving this review but thought I would all the same. We dined as a family with our young teenagers and we all thought that the standard of the food was what we expected. The service was excellent and we were given a quick tour of the kitchen after the meal which my daughter loved.

We visited Petrus for lunch, a group of ex-colleagues, all now retired, that get together occasionally. We are not in a position to be extravagant so chose from the set lunch menu, everything was perfect, we were made to feel very comfortable and welcome, the service was immaculate even though we were not going to be 'big spenders'. The food... More
