Nice Food but poor Service

Was in the Baker Street area and found this restaurant. It is small and comfortable inside and we were given a warm welcome. The menu is quiet extensive and there is a good choice of specials. Visited for dinner on a Friday evening after arriving in London for the weekend, my son booked after a recommendation, little place, very Italian great atmosphere, lovely food and wonderful staff. Not too expensive for London. I had the veal it was cooked to perfection the rest of the group had chicken which again was given the thumbs up. Would... More

Fish was fantastic, perfectly cooked with a smooth lemon sauce; not over cooked like most Italian restaurants. Chicken cutlet was equally delicious! Small quiet family vibe and GREAT tomato sauce of homemade quality. Lemon almond polenta cake special for dessert was just right! Full lemon flavour and not too sweet. Will be back soon! ~Canadian living in London

Small restaurant offering reasonable food that is not over priced. However the attitude of the staff is very poor and because of this I won't be returning. You need to learn basic customer service skills, you are not running a soup kitchen, you are serving paying members of the public.

This is a lovely restaurant. The food is fabulous.....fresh, tasty and authentic Italian. The staff are lovely. They are very accommodating. I was here as part of a big group but I would come back with my family too. It's a really relaxed environment. I would highly recommend !!

I found the staff not overly friendly but I think this may be a european/london manner. attracts a lovely clientel, would return... More

This is a lovely, homely Italian restaurant run by a friendly family. We ate late after an evening class and found service to be swift and attentive. We shared bruschetta to start and followed with pasta. All were good and freshly cooked. We will definitely return. You may need to book - it can get very busy. The first time... More

This is a family run restaurant with very indifferent service and the rest. The Calamari was excellent, after this it progressively went bad to terrible. Good pasta, with bad sauce, and fillings. Ok wine and for deserts I really recommend stopping at a local shop for a chocolate bar or other sweet, they clearly have no idea about these. Give... More

Neighborhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighborhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
