Perfect local Italian

Casa Becci is everything a local restaurant should be, friendly and attentive staff, family run and brilliant food. Much better value than all the chain restaurants surrounding it and a far more interesting menu. The king prawn risotto was perfect!

We had dinner here with a group of 10 friends, and it felt more like eating in a small restaurant in Italy than a so-called Italian Restaurant in London. The restaurant is quite small and intimate, the staff (including what I took to be the owner) were all friendly and helpful, and the food was good and excellent value. We... More

We were looking for italian food and this restaurant looked cozy. Starting off the environment seemed unsettling. The owner wAs hovering above the table constantly and the male waitress didnt even seem bothered when taking our order. He had his back at me when i was giving the order and kept looking around. Unfortunately the arragosta pasta was a disgrace... More

Came here for a meal on my own before Christmas. Pleasant environment and setting. Lovely people, assume family owned. Authentic Italian cuisine and very reasonably priced for London. Couldn't be nicer. Enjoyed the experience.

A small family run restaurant, this was our second visit. A good atmosphere with attentive service and reasonably priced wine. Yes sometimes things are a little hit and miss but they are very willing to go off the menu (at 6.30 pm) to accommodate your wishes. Perhaps not totally authentic but well worth visiting and the prices are reasonable for... More

Our first visit to Casa Becci for a late lunch so impressed us that we returned the next day. There is a lot to be said for a well run family restaurant and after more than 25 years trading in Marylebone with Gianpaul now at the helm the Becci family's restaurant is a landmark for authentic Italian food, fresh and... My wife and I have been dining at Casa Becci during vacations to London for more than a decade, often a couple of times in the same week. Gianpaul Becci and his family prepare authentic Italian food that is always fresh and appetizing. We particularly enjoy the pastas. My wife's favorite is Spaghetti Vongole (clams, garlic and white wine), while... More

Staying in Marylebone

Neighborhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighborhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
