Attentive and Attractive

Good service for a busy Saturday evening - the spot is attractive as ever and the waiters attentive. You know what to expect from Wagarama; no romantic or private seats, but a buzz of chatter, combined with a very good selection of food and drinks to choose from. Japanese style. The food was good, but was very slow to arrive (it wasn't busy) and the service was distinctly second-rate - felt like quite an afterthought.

We left a small shopping bag on our table when we left the restaurant. Amazingly our waiter Lazaros thoughtfully found us in a bustling street intersection to return it! Lazaros was professional, efficient and very welcoming, though the above kindness was over and above our expectations. Wagamama's food is always consistently excellent and today was as delicious as always, though... More

I think Wagamama's is one of the better fast food chain restaurant - each dish is prepared from fresh, the menu is well thought through and the consistency is admirable. Two of us were seated and provided with menus and request number 1 for us to order drinks... Request number 2 came shortly thereafter, but we headed them off with... More

On a visit to London we thoroughly enjoyed a meal at this Wagamama on 17 Feb. A couple of days later we planned to meet a friend there for a glass of wine in the afternoon. Unfortunately I fell down some steps close to the restaurant and struggled into Wagamama bleeding profusely. The manager took immediate control of the situation,... More

Came here with no booking, as a two we were seated straight away, we ordered drinks which came quickly, food came quickly and was very nice. The only minor niggle is what we wanted as starters came all at the same time but perhaps we should have specified that. We were made to feel comfortable and not rushed at all.... More

I came here day after Boxing Day with my friend. The food was amazing but the service was so bad. First when I sat down to order 2 female workers were standing behind me slagging off another member of staff, they wasnt exactly quiet either. Then it took ages for our drinks to come to the table. Afterwards 2 lads... More

Prior to a trip to Vinopolis (just around the corner) we called into Wagamama for a quick snack.... Waited a couple of minutes at the door and then were shown to a table.... Normal Katsu Curry and noodle dishes which I think are really good value..... drinks a bit pricey ... but what is so good about Wagamama is the... More

I arrived at the front door and lobby and the manager was handing out menus to around 10 people who were waiting to be seated.I looked into the restaurant and it was only a third full. I could understand him doing this if the place was full but this was ridiculous especially as the freezing wind was coming in off... More

We ate here some two years ago and it was our first experience of Wagamamas. We were visiting London with family who were visiting from New Zealand and we wanted to show them how good it was. They and ourselves were not disappointed. Excellent meal, well priced and served by very attentative staff. Great time had by us all.

Neighborhood Profile
Southwark
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighborhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
