Late Night Eats.

Looking for a later evening meal in the Borough we chose Wagamama and it proved a good choice. Service was helpful and speedy, the food we had was very good and the beers OK. Sat outside and enjoyed watching the passing throngs.

We have walked by this restaurant many times in the past. We were staying at the Premier Inn literally across the way and after a busy day of non stop walking we decided to try this place as it was on our doorstep. Shame we didn't give it a go sooner. Food was fresh beef cooked to perfection good variety... More

My son has just been served with the smallest kids mini chicken katsu we've ever seen. We've never visited this branch of Wagamama before and don't plan to again. The menu is reduced, service is not particularly enthusiastic and it really isn't that child friendly. They had no kids chopsticks, no colouring things and the aforementioned tiny meal. My son... We have eaten here in the past at various locations. They are all the same and offer some tasty food. You are served at long tables, with fairly short waits for food to be delivered. Mostly noodle or rice bowls. We had chicken and shrimp teppanyaki, chicken donburi and Chicken Ramen. All very fresh and delicious. It is a very... More

No problems with service if you opt for an early lunch as we did. It also meant you could sit in the window and watch the entertainers on the river front- flames comes out of a trombone!- and the tourists streaming by via the market and tube stop. The food is consistent for the chain and we found the service... More

We came here after waiting ages for a table elsewhere. The staff were efficient and friendly and the food as good as always. I tried the seafood broth and would recommend this!

I have always really liked this brand, and the food was fine, but the evening was ruined by absolutely woeful service. Rather than immediately write a bad review we asked to speak to the manager to make him aware of the situation and see if it could be resolved, but he clearly could not care less and was almost aggressive... Good fresh food, well priced. Always enjoy coming here. Service good considering how busy they always seem to be when we come here. We will be back.

Visited with a friend in April 2015. The place was very busy at the time, and you could tell the staff were not coping with it. While the waiting staff were more or less managing, the kitchen was not. I ordered chicken dumplings and got vegetarian instead, my friend's soup was cold (had to send it back), and they forgot... When you are in a rather expensive city it is nice to find food that comes at a reasonable price. Luckily for us we are a big fan of noodles. This chain of restaurants can always satisfy us. The food is excellent and a good amount, the price is very nice as well. In this venue it was quite busy... More

Staying in Southwark

Neighborhood Profile
Southwark
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighborhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
