Expensive for what you get.

A popular, noisy and very expensive restaurant. Menu choices are good, but most dishes are smothered in garlic. Be prepared to pay extra for any vegetables as these are not included in the price of any main dish. Waiters were very friendly and attentive. Check out the special wine list - yep... read more

It's a family run concern that has been in the same location for decades. I've known it but never been so was looking forward to somewhere new. We arrived to find the front of the restaurant empty but we were quickly shown to the garden at the back which was buzzing! A nice touch in the summer as the roof... More

Food wise? Couldn't tell, we ended up walking out after being mistreated. My friend and I decided to book a table at 2:30 on Sunday afternoon. (It was meant to be my first experience there, but my friend is a regular customer of them). I arrived punctual, but she was running 10 minutes late because of the traffic. So I... More

Best Mozzarella Carossa in Town. Charming Ambience and atmosphere perfect for every occasion.Staff are attentive without interfering, whatever you want is already done which is perfect and makes certain that the evening is stress free. The garden area is an extra bonus - there is a reason that :La Famiglia is going strong after all these years - it simply... More

There are not enough superlatives to describe La Famiglia. The food is great, the ambience is lovely and the service is friendly. This is a family oriented restaurant which serves high quality Italian home cooking. There is a good variety of dishes to choose from and all prepared to a high standard…and the desert trolley is a treat. The restaurant... More

I have eaten at this restaurant on and off for some twenty years. It can be great, but any regular there will tell you it seems to vary over the years and can be a bit of a roller coaster. One thing it is not is "consistent" as one reviewer describes it.

Went to La Famiglia for dinner on Friday. A friend recommended the restaurant to us and the food was very good. Particularly enjoyed the truffle spaghetti and truffle cheese stuffed chicken. The restaurant has a lovely ambiance with both indoor seating and outdoor seating on the terrace.

On the recommendation of a friend who regularly visits London, we recently visited La Famiglia and know why it is her top spot to return to every time she is in town. The food was very good and the restaurant has a great outdoor walled-in patio with everything in white and a marine blue that looks great, especially with the... More

We had a great family gathering here yesterday - what fun!! We got a beautiful outdoor table - it felt like being on holidays. The staff could not have been nicer, they totally entered into the fun we were having at our table. My daughter who is heavily pregnant was made so comfortable with cushions and warm attention. Food was... More

Staying in Chelsea

Neighborhood Profile
Chelsea
Wealth courses through The King's Road, Chelsea's upmarket artery of West London life packed with shops, eateries and glitzy nightspots. For people-watching at its best and luxury retail therapy that's largely unrivalled, this area cannot be missed. But if this showy street starts to overwhelm or a moment of price tag shock sends you reeling, a quick detour down pretty much any of many King's Road veins will reveal a quieter side of Chelsea. Here the stately Royal Hospital hosts its world-famous flower show, and the Thames rolls along at a lazy pace, with leafy Battersea Park and its Peace Pagoda beckoning from across the river.
