Description: The third restaurant to be opened by acclaimed chef brothers Chris and Jeff Galvin, La Chapelle has been consistently praised, winning no less than 8 top restaurant awards in its first year, including AA London Restaurant of the Year, and Tatler magazine's Restaurant of the Year. Chef Patron, Jeff Galvin, provides a menu of modern French cuisine, gaining a Michelin star in the 2011 Red Guide, just a year after the restaurant opened. There is also a menu gourmand, prix fixe lunch, early dinner menu, and Sunday Roast lunch menu. The service, under the direction of Alessandro Piombino and his team, effortlessly combines warm, friendly and attentive hospitality with a fine sense of tradition and decorum, in keeping with the grandeur of this Grade II-listed building. The restaurant is one of the few restaurants in London to hold a vertical list of Hermitage La Chapelle wines.

Beautiful building, wonderful ambience, right in the heart of the City. We arrived 30 minutes late, having phoned in advance because of heavy traffic but this was no problem at all. Wonderful wine recommendation from the sommelier. The service was friendly and efficient, and the food extremely tasty. We will return for the tasting menu.

We went to La Chapelle for Sunday lunch on 7 September, fantastic location set, as the name suggests, in a beautiful old chapel! Both the food and service were excellent and there was a great atmosphere with a jazz band paying (not intrusively!) throughout our lunch. Would highly recommend for a relaxed Sunday lunch although I would imagine the setting... More

Having arrived early and settled in for some pre-meal drinks the stage was set with attentive, nothing to much trouble staff which continued throughout the evening. The restaurant itself is beautifully designed and retains a simple elegance giving it a light and spacious feel, but still managing a level of intimacy for conversation. Having been presented with menu's the special... More

Booked at short notice through top table and had a very good deal. Sat in a corner with a great view of this lovely venue and really enjoyed the pleasant service and lovely food. Plan to return for a family occasion.

Business dinner for 2 in this superb restaurant. Very nice decor, high ceiling, quiet restaurant making it easy to have a proper conversation. Service extremely good, although one of the waitresses kept asking how we are doing. I did the salmon starter and monkfish main course, both very high quality. Wine was ok. Really hard to find an faults with... More

We couldn't find somewhere to eat last minute so took a bit of a gamble going here. The food was absolutely divine, the staff very attentive. We had gone for a meal to celebrate our friends birthday and happen to mention it to the staff, as a surprise brought out a little mini cake for her. I wouldn't hesitate going... More

My wife and I visited on Saturday evening to celebrate our wedding anniversary.... a first visit for my wife who loved every moment. The atmosphere was simply enchanting, our seating arrangements were perfect and the service impeccable. So charming to eat in a room which features medieval-style chandeliers, lofty stone ceilings and statuesque pillars. We decided upon the 7 course... More

Its always a bit of a gamble going somewhere where theres a "cheap" set menu and an "expensive" A La Carte, because you can never be entirely sure that the choices on the set menu will float your boat. And so it proved to be at La Chapelle, but given the quality and quantity of the food I am not... More

Perfect service, food and ambience. Tables sufficiently far apart to guarantee privacy. Located close to Liverpool Street so well placed for the City.
