Description: The third restaurant to be opened by acclaimed chef brothers Chris and Jeff Galvin, La Chapelle has been consistently praised, winning no less than 8 top restaurant awards in its first year, including AA London Restaurant of the Year, and Tatler magazine's Restaurant of the Year. Chef Patron, Jeff Galvin, provides a menu of modern French cuisine, gaining a Michelin star in the 2011 Red Guide, just a year after the restaurant opened. There is also a menu gourmand, prix fixe lunch, early dinner menu, and Sunday Roast lunch menu. The service, under the direction of Alessandro Piombino and his team, effortlessly combines warm, friendly and attentive hospitality with a fine sense of tradition and decorum, in keeping with the grandeur of this Grade II-listed building. The restaurant is one of the few restaurants in London to hold a vertical list of Hermitage La Chapelle wines.

We celebrated a family birthday here and decided to go with the tasting menu and accompanying wines. The table we were given was ideal, there were 8 of us and we got a booth which gave us enough privacy to create the right ambiance. I was very impressed with the level of service given we were a large group and... More

We came here as a family after a day in London. It was are lost stop as someone had kindly given us a voucher to use here. After 9 hours on our feet doing as much as London as we could do in one day we were welcome of some much needed pampering! We travelled as three adults and two... More

We were treated to a Sunday lunch as part of our Birthday/Wedding anniversary. We ate from the set Sunday Lunch menu @ £29.50 which was good value plus the added bonus of live music. Chestnut Velouté was the pick of the starters (although a slightly small portion),followed by plaice and a beautifully cooked and presented lamb dish as a main... More

The fixed price menu of lamb and Yorkshire pudding a strange and uninspiring combination was totally average in both presentation and quality when my South American wife asked for red currant sauce the staffs blank looks indicated not only did they not appear to know that it is a traditional accompaniment to a traditional dish but clearly did not have... As an old chapel the restaurant building itself is stunning. Had the set menu and the food was a little disappointing given this place has a Michelin star. I had the Mackerel starter and then we both had the lamb for main which was essentially a quite greasy lamb spring roll! For pudding we had chocolate mousse with banana and... More

We four went for Sunday lunch and all chose from the set menu. The food was excellent and the staff were attentive and friendly - just the right touch. The jazz band singing softly in background was a bonus. Wines tended to be expensive, but the soft red that we chose was wonderful.

Went here on a Friday night with friends. Upon arrival the welcome was warm and friendly and the surroundings are very impressive having been converted from a small church. We went for the 7 course tasting menu which everyone had to have and weren't disappointed although one of the ladies squirmed a bit about the fois grois. We all agreed... More

Just to thank the staff at Galvin La Chapelle for a great lunch experience today. After a little moan of mine that we weren't given a round table - though quickly realising that the table we were allocated was better anyway, the management arrived with a bottle of excellent champagne as an apology. A very generous and appreciated gesture. The... More
