Description: The third restaurant to be opened by acclaimed chef brothers Chris and Jeff Galvin, La Chapelle has been consistently praised, winning no less than 8 top restaurant awards in its first year, including AA London Restaurant of the Year, and Tatler magazine's Restaurant of the Year. Chef Patron, Jeff Galvin, provides a menu of modern French cuisine, gaining a Michelin star in the 2011 Red Guide, just a year after the restaurant opened. There is also a menu gourmand, prix fixe lunch, early dinner menu, and Sunday Roast lunch menu. The service, under the direction of Alessandro Piombino and his team, effortlessly combines warm, friendly and attentive hospitality with a fine sense of tradition and decorum, in keeping with the grandeur of this Grade II-listed building. The restaurant is one of the few restaurants in London to hold a vertical list of Hermitage La Chapelle wines.

The venue is really interesting but I wasn't impressed with the food or service at Galvin La Chapelle. For the price there are hundreds of other restaurants in London that are much better. The service was poor- for example, when we ordered a bottle of water, it never turned up. But, when we chased this they treated it as a... More

This was the perfect end to a recent theatre weekend in London. From the moment we walked in we knew we were in for a good evening. Extremely attentive staff, without being over bearing. Really interesting choices on the menu and the food itself was excellent. As expected in a restaurant of this standard finding a decent priced wine was... More

We booked the set lunch menu at £29 for 3 courses including a glass of champagne, which was excellent value for money. The service was very good. The restaurant itself is stunning, perfect for a romantic meal.

Visited for a friend's birthday which was lovely. The waitress was completely charming and put no pressure on us to order expensive wine (as I have experienced in other michelin starred restaurants). Food was, as ever, delicious. The jazz band was a lovely touch, however, we sat down at 2:15pm and the music stopped at 3, so if you want... More

There are few places where you know from the moment that you arrive that you are in for something special, but this is one of those restaurants. An amazing setting, that exudes quality from the moment you leave your coats. Everyone is incredibly welcoming with the service spot on all evening. We ate on a Friday evening and as you... More

La Chapelle opened to extremely wide media ( and subsequently, customer - much more important ! ) acclaim, when the Galvin Brothers first opened a handful of years back. They had turned the old St Botolph's girls school in Spitalfields into one of London's premier Michelin starred eateries. Having returned of late after a considerable absence ( not through choice... Was taken here for my birthday by my girlfriend, was a great treat. Food and service were of a high standard as you would expect from a Michelin Star restaurant.

This had to be special as it was my daughter's 21st. It was! The setting in an old church is unusual and impressive. The attention of the staff was impressive but not overwhelming and their assistance during the meal in terms of knowledge for our wine choice and detail of the cheeseboard was equally impressive. The food was simply delicious... More

I have visited a few times now and it's always a treat and a pleasure, even when dining alone. Food is great and service attentive without being overbearing.

Wow-great welcome and seated quickly. Atmosphere chilled and laid back. Champagne dry and full of bubbles. We chose the 7 course meal and it was truly first class and we have experienced other Michelin starred restaurants. My husband is fussy but let's just say he ate everything and wants to return ASAP. Service first class and food very tasty. If... More
