It simply turned to be my new favourite restaurant in Europe. And I'm trying a lot of them I can assure you. The food: The menu was very creative and interesting, so tempted to try it all that I decided to order all the starters without main... and here it arrived, presented superbly and tasted like paradise in my mouth!... I am French living in London, and it feels good to be able to enjoy some fine French food. We were not disappointed. The foie gras and ham terrine was delicious, well seasoned and tastier than I expected. My friend had the crab lasagna, and said it was really nice. The pigeon tagine was superb, so was the tart tatin.... More

I wanted somewhere close to my brother's flat, so looking through the Good Food Guide, I found Galvin La Chappelle was fairly close and not only that, in the Good Food Guide’s top 50 restaurants in the UK. Can't be bad! With a bit of help with directions from Galvin Cafe a Vin we found the restaurant. (It appears the... More

Took a friend to cheer her up and we had a delightful time. Super attentive and engaging and knowledgeable staff. Was it value for money? well it was exclusive, delightful, and the venue encouraged a certain respectful reverence in all. The food was well presented, seasoned and every individual item on the plate tasted how it should, together they were... More

Treated my husband and myself to Sunday lunch at La Chapelle before going to see the matinee of Let it Be. We have eaten here once before and really enjoyed the experience and yesterday didn't disappoint. The service can't be beaten, it is one of the few places I don't mind the 12.5% service charge being added, as the staff... More

We were keen to go having been to other Galvin place. It was terrible, over salted food, bland and tasteless- which for 32 pounds for a main course was well below par. Go to carluccios across the square- reliable and value for money. They took the main off our bill but it ruined the evening and floating new potato chunks... More

I visited La Chapelle with my wife and daughter and enjoyed a very good lunch. My starter was a delicious Dorset crab lasagne which perfectly prepared. My wife started with a beautiful looking heritage beet root salad with goats cheese, artichoke heart and caramelised walnuts. All of us had perfectly pink roast sirloin of beef with fondant potato, spring cabbage,... More

I have been waiting to visit La Chapelle for a while now after going to the Galvin brasserie next door. The building is an old Victorian church/schoolhouse. Its not a big building but it is very cool. We sat at the bar first for a glass of Prosecco. When I asked the barman immediately gave us a document with illustrations... More
