Description: The third restaurant to be opened by acclaimed chef brothers Chris and Jeff Galvin, La Chapelle has been consistently praised, winning no less than 8 top restaurant awards in its first year, including AA London Restaurant of the Year, and Tatler magazine's Restaurant of the Year. Chef Patron, Jeff Galvin, provides a menu of modern French cuisine, gaining a Michelin star in the 2011 Red Guide, just a year after the restaurant opened. There is also a menu gourmand, prix fixe lunch, early dinner menu, and Sunday Roast lunch menu. The service, under the direction of Alessandro Piombino and his team, effortlessly combines warm, friendly and attentive hospitality with a fine sense of tradition and decorum, in keeping with the grandeur of this Grade II-listed building. The restaurant is one of the few restaurants in London to hold a vertical list of Hermitage La Chapelle wines.

I've been to brasserie la chapelle many time and had a great time as usual. The live piano was replaced by a live dj. Still great!

An absolutely superb evening spent at Galvin La Chapelle. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable and all the staff were very attentive, without being OTT. Special credit goes to Pasquale who did a great job with his friendly and helpful attitude. The food was great value for money (we selected from the £29 three course menu, including... More

5 of us went for Sunday Lunch and every one of us was suitably very impressed. We had the Prix Fixe menu and at £29.00 its almost a bargain. Service was exceptional as was all of the food. Just as you would expect from a Michelin starred restaurant. The building is an old chapel, Methodist I would say. It is... More

This is the second time we have eaten here. Overall experience consistently high. Open kitchen delivers to the highest standards. Lovely surroundings and good atmosphere. Very attentive staff. Knowledgable sommelier . Will definitely come again.

I've been to this superb restaurant 3 times now & every single time I walk away with a huge smile on my face.. Tonight was no exception. Tucked in a little side street not far from the throng & busyness of Liverpool Street station, this wonderful restaurant is really something special. Firstly the Grade II listed building itself is beautiful,... More

My partner and I came here for dinner and ate from the Menu du Chef. First things first this place has brilliant atmosphere - mood lighting, no music as far as I can remember (just the level hum of other diners - so we could chat comfortably without anyone eavesdropping), tables not close together and just beautifully decorated. Service was... More

I was in town for work and a friend had booked a three-course dinner meal with champagne at Galvin La Chapelle as a treat. And what a treat it was! I had the mackerel, cod and chocolate mousse... I enjoyed every bit. The staff were discreet, but extremely attentive and courteous. We were seated upstairs and had a lovely view... More

We used a deal and dined early straight from work on a Thursday. The resturant was, naturally, quiet at that time but had good buzz by the time we left at 9.30pm. The set menu choice was limited but good and the food on the a la carte looked delicious based on the menu and what we saw other tables... More

We ate here on Sunday evening via the Bookatable offer. Sadly we were disappointed. The setting of an old chapel is magnificent, but the food did not live up to its surroundings. As commented by another reviewer we had the mackerel and duck parfait to start, both were uninspiring and lacked flavour. We both had the Herdwich lamb which was... More
