A lovely, cosey bar, private but yet always full of international customers, friendly and well recommended. Excellent service with great choice. Thanks to the bar staff, excellent service. Totally easy going, don`t even mind when it`s busy and we were there surrounded by luggage, having to cart bits off to get changed as we had booked out. Ideally situated next... More

wonderful service, and freshly cooked absolutely delicious food. Had long discussion about choice with friendly waitress who despite being in traditional Malayan costume turned out to be Polish! Thanks to her help I had the best Malayan food I have had in half a century. Wish the restaurant was nearer!

Having seen the enticing picture of 'Assam Laksa' outside, I thought I'd try this place. The picture's caption described it as the '7th most delicious of world foods, as rated by CNN'. In the photo it appeared hot and delicious, topped with fresh fish and garnished with colourful portions of shallots and chilli. What I received was a bowl of... More

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
