This is a fabulous spot for a dinner in London with friends! The view of the Tower and iconic Tower Bridge. The service is very good! The response to delivering a meat dish to a vegetarian was exceptional ! The meat tasted great. The side dishes were edible but nothing special. The wines were really sumptuous! Everything was pricey!

At the Gaucho chain the bill is always more than I expect. I was "invited" to taste two wines - the cheaper of which was over £70 - but unless I had asked, I'm not sure they would have highlighted the price. This rather se the tone for the evening. The lower priced wines seem to start at c£40. We... More

We went to celebrate a special occasion... Actually a local friend recommended me this place and didn't missed! I enjoyed very much the ambiance of the restaurant, wine list was terrific, food was excellent. They serve Argentinean meat, which I think is the second best after US. Sirloin and rib eye were delicious! oh creamed spinach was yummy too. Don't... More

We are regular customer of the Gaucho restaurants, at least once per year. It is the first time that service was not organised smootly. The waitress was unfamiliar with the offer of wines by the glass. I had ordered a Patricia's Malbec flight and had to wait when I was finishing my starter before I was served. In addition I... More

Amazing steak, humungous wine menu, gorgeous ambience, fantastic location with a view of Tower Bridge, super helpful staff. What more could you ask for? Go with someone special, it's a lovely romantic venue.

We ate here on a very busy Friday night and the place was full. We opted to sit in the bar first and have a drink and they brought us a drinks menu which we couldn't read because it was far too dark in there. We literally had to hold a candle up to the menu to make our choices.... More

As an American living in London, I occasionally get a deep craving for a great steak and Gaucho Grill becomes the destination of choice. Great meat, great sides, great wine, great chimichurri sauce, great service. This location offers great views of the Tower of London, The Tower Bridge, and the City. Bring a good appetite and be prepared to enjoy... More

It was good service by all the staff from the door, to the desert. But the food comparing with the price was not worthing! I will like to know if certainly all the meet is imported from SAmerica for having that kind of price, or we are paying for the decoration of the walls !!! The darkess does not let... More

I met with a couple of girlfriends I hadn't seen for sometime last night and we booked Gaucho. Whilst the food was it's usual high standard the whole meal was overshadowed by shambolic, disorganized and tardy service. I've detailed a few of the primary issues below: One of us sitting without cutlery and having to ask several times whilst food... More

Had a great meal last night with some work colleagues. The cut I chose was the ribeye and was extremely tasty. Had tried Gaucho's a few years ago and had forgotten how good it was. Great atmosphere, good service and wine.

Neighborhood Profile
Southwark
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighborhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
