Excellent Sunday lunch

Great pub, excellent food, well-kept ales, interesting wine list. Service was a little slow - and we had to chase a couple of items (chasing one would have been fine - I had no gravy - but my guests had to do the same). This was all handled in a polite and apologetic fashion so I put it down to... read more

Located at the quieter end of Northcote road. Local haunt for us, serving good food complimented with friendly service. Nicely decorated too!

We visited for father's day and walked into the lovely conservatory style room which was just stunning. We had great service, and the menu was just amazing, with a great range of options. We tried various dishes, the polenta crusted risotto was just stunning, highly recommended.

I've been here about a dozen times with my family, friends, and work colleagues; each meal has been consistently delicious, with a great lunch setting in the bright entrance room, and a charming dining room at the back. The wine list is very decent and well priced, and the waiting staff have been excellent to us on almost each visit.... More

We are a group of 6 friends spending weekend in London, recommended to try The Bolingbroke. We booked reservation for Sunday evening. On arrival, the staff were welcoming and our table was perfect. The food, being on a diet was not good and this quickly was forgotten when the menu arrived, there is a good selection and the wine list... More

The Bolingbroke is located at the quieter end of Northcote Road, about 10 mins' walk from Clapham Junction station. It's a generic gastropub and looks like every other London gastropub in the area - wooden floors, mismatched shabby chic furniture, tongue and grooves walls painted in Farrow & Ball shades. Given it's convenient location (for a quiet drink in one... More

Hi Claire, Many thanks for providing a review of The Bolingbroke. I am very sorry to read you did not enjoy the food on your visit. As you can see from other reviews, this is very unusual as we often get excellent feedback on our food and the pub in general. However, I have forwarded your comments onto our executive... More

The Bolingbroke has an nice bar to sit while you wait for your reservation, along with a light and airy restaurant area. Food was hot and tasty. Not the cheapest but given the quality I'd say it was value for money. My only criticism is the lack of a vegetarian Sunday lunch, although there were other options on the menu.

Great contemporary pub and a lovely venue for a Sunday morning hangover breakfast. Just what the doctor ordered!! And no dramas with parking.

Ate here on a Friday night, were given a nice quiet corner. Staff were friendly and helpful and the pub was nice and clean. Menu was extensive but reasonable. Food arrived quickly and hot, and staff asked a couple of times whether every thing was ok, which it was. Would eat here again.

We just had dinner as a couple at the Bolingbroke. Behind the usual pub room is hiding a lovely restaurant room with white walls, covered by a glass roof which brings a very airy feeling to it, muted slightly by blind over the glass windows and cute tiny lights. The food was equally very good. We had crab and lobster... More
