Description: If you find yourself craving curry in North London, head for Gulshaan...
If you find yourself craving curry in North London, head for Gulshaan one of Kentish Towns most popular Indian restaurants. Situated right next to the tube station, its ideal for mid-week lunches and laid-back dinners before a gig at the Forum or a night out in Camden Town. The chefs use fresh herbs and spices and prepare each dish in the style of the region it originates from to guarantee an authentic flavour. The menu features familiar favourites like baltis, biryanis and seafood dishes like the spicy prawn madras. For something a little different, try Gulshaans signature dish Murgh Bade Saba, which is chicken cooked with green chillis, coriander, ginger, yoghurt and a unique blend of herbs and spices. Delicious food; obtrusive service

Had never been overly tempted to eat here as it never seems that busy which is a shame as the food was much better than I would have imagined. My butternut squash with fresh green chilli was delicious, as were the bindi bhaji and tarka daal side-dishes. My companion's vegetable korma was also... read more

We enjoyed a delicious meal and peshwari naan bread here, ended up inside by chance and glad we did. Yum

Very average food. Starter was not cooked properly, cold samosa filling. Main course, same as anywhere. These things are probably to be expected in most high street Indian restaurants. I realise that. However, this place had a very nasty atmosphere. The strong smell of old bleach solution combined with the hot-air heater gave me a headache.

I dropped into this restaurant with a friend on impulse as we both fancied curry. It is a very small and simple establishment but the food was incredible. I am a curry queen, so I know a good curry when I eat one! I had the chicken jalfresi along with mushroom rice and a garlic naan, and it was simply... More

Was going to a gig at The Forum, and wanted something to eat.saw this acroos road from tube. No one else was in there when we went in, as it had only just opened I think. Service and food was greta and les than £40 including a couple of large drinks each was also good value. After couple of disappointing... More

My particular favourite dish "Gosht Naga" never fails to satisfy. It is only for those of you who like a bit of heat. Actually, a lot of heat. Service is charming & efficient. Hard to walk out of the tube & walk by. Highly recommended as a no frills, good value, traditional curry house.

The waiters were not polite, food came out cold and over charged us!! I would rather recommend the Bengal Lancer which is on the same street.

Ordered a delivery after reading the reviews. I must say this has been the worst Indian delivery I have ever gotten. Both the curries were too sweet, chicken was tough, the roti and naan we were like rubber. NEVER AGAIN!

Walked past here many times, decided to give it a go this evening. A little quiet when we first arrived, but service is attentive and friendly and food is very tasty and great value for money. Onion bhaji, veggie biryani and saag aloo were very tasty, and too much for me to eat so have a nice little takeaway container... More

3 of us dined at Gulshaan during a recent visit to London. The restaurant was conveniently located in Kentish Town, just a short walk from the apartment we were renting. We arrived around 8 p.m. and there was a party of 4 just finishing up their meal. After they departed we were the only diners in the restaurant. I had... More
