Like shoe designing, whipping up a great dish is an art, says Jimmy Choo who has ventured in to the world of food with Maximini, an oriental restaurant near Hyde Park where the celebrity shoe smith is bringing a slice of his Malaysian home to Britain. As beautifully dressed as any of Jimmys A-list clients, Maximini is simplistic and chic with a hint of old fashioned colonial style which perfectly suits its fabulous Bayswater address. The irresistible Malaysian dishes are fused with more familiar Chinese flavours by master chef Albert Koh, to produce an innovative and exciting menu which, like a timeless pair of heels, looks set to become this seasons must-have.

Very Nice

We ate here on a miserable wet dark Monday lunchtime but were cheered up by a very tasty meal with very good service and surroundings.. The staff leave you alone and don't keep faffing around you, the menu has a good choice , the portions are generous, all in all it is a place we will certainly add... read more

Really nice place in a good area! The food was amazing. The duck and the chicken with lemon sauce were delicious. Also the special rise. I really recommend this place! And the service was very attentive. I definitely come back!

Just wanted to leave a review on Maximini Restaurant Sussex place London W2. I must say when we read the small menu we wondered if we had made an error on picking this restaurant. However what a lovely surprise. We ate there at lunch time, the venue is very smart, clean and comfortable. we picked the mixed starter for two... More

We are happy to love around the corner from Maximini. This is our weekly go to meal. It's consistant, speedy and the service is good. We've never had a bad meal here.

We were very pleasantly surprised by how good this restaurant is. Very extensive menu, professional service, nice atmosphere, and good value for the money.

The food was good but the wait was far too long, there is a difference between taking your time and the feeling of being ignored. The restaurant was full and the staff paid great attention to the larger tables leaving us till last. The starters were very ordinary and we had to send one main dish back as it was... More

Food was really good, and staff were very attentive. Very minor but waiting 10 minutes for one of the 2 starters and then having plates cleared whilst one person was still eating their late starter seemed a little over eager. That said the remainder went well, and staff settled as more people came in, so didn't feel quite so rushed.... More

We have been here once or twice before our recent visit (a family group of five) and the food has always been quite delicious with none of the heavy goo and over-salted dishes which are sadly too common still in more traditional Chinese establishments. The sharing platter starter was very tasty - we would happily have ordered the same again!... More

This was our first meal at this wonderful restaurant. The waiting staff were prompt, helpful, warm and gracious. We were given a lovely corner table which included a comfortable sofa. The lighting and the ambience were just right. The food we ordered was delicious particularly the Singapore vermicilli & peppercorn salt prawns. We are definately going back!

Topper for Chinese food in town. I love everything about Maxi Mini ! Chic quaint friendly central London Chinese restaurant. But most of all I love the scrumptious quality of the menu. We have been dining at Maxi Mini many times now and it just can't be bettered. I love Chinese food and have worked with Chinese chefs over many... More
