Like shoe designing, whipping up a great dish is an art, says Jimmy Choo who has ventured in to the world of food with Maximini, an oriental restaurant near Hyde Park where the celebrity shoe smith is bringing a slice of his Malaysian home to Britain. As beautifully dressed as any of Jimmys A-list clients, Maximini is simplistic and chic with a hint of old fashioned colonial style which perfectly suits its fabulous Bayswater address. The irresistible Malaysian dishes are fused with more familiar Chinese flavours by master chef Albert Koh, to produce an innovative and exciting menu which, like a timeless pair of heels, looks set to become this seasons must-have.

Good food

A lovely place in Paddington that serves halal food. We had the whole of the downstairs for a birthday party and it's really nice, comfortable and goods space. Food very tasty, and staff super friendly.

This restaurant in in the Paddington Station Area, the food is really good and my sister who lives in the area love it because she does not have to go to Chinatown or Queensway area for real Chinese Food. Their duck wraps were good. My sister tried getting a table on a Saturday night before I left the next day,... More

At the outskirts of the Paddington restaurant district in London Street you find this restaurant, almost hidden, but well worth finding. The food is Cantonese, served in a discretely elegant room with just a few touches to underscore the origins. There is room between that tables, which gives a bit of privacy. The appatisers were rather average, but the traditional... More

I decided to eat here instead of my favorite Chinese in London ( Princess Garden in Mayfair) as I was staying at the Paddington Hilton for the first time and it was just a short walk to the restaurant. Reviews in TripAdvisor were positive so I was looking forward to a nice meal. Location : Located in a side street... More

Maximini Restaurant is tucked away in an elegant little side street in the Paddington area. It's a small restaurant with tasteful decor making this a cosy venue for a meal any time of the day. I've visited this restaurant many times and staff are always very welcoming and attentive. The menu has a good selection of high quality food at... More

We ate here on a miserable wet dark Monday lunchtime but were cheered up by a very tasty meal with very good service and surroundings.. The staff leave you alone and don't keep faffing around you, the menu has a good choice , the portions are generous, all in all it is a place we will certainly add to the... More

Really nice place in a good area! The food was amazing. The duck and the chicken with lemon sauce were delicious. Also the special rise. I really recommend this place! And the service was very attentive. I definitely come back!

Just wanted to leave a review on Maximini Restaurant Sussex place London W2. I must say when we read the small menu we wondered if we had made an error on picking this restaurant. However what a lovely surprise. We ate there at lunch time, the venue is very smart, clean and comfortable. we picked the mixed starter for two... More
