Maharaja Tandoori was renamed Piccadilly Spice. Still very good and the erratic service from Mr Babul was impeccible. I went there and the place is gone.......history.........after soo many Vindaloos and Cobras.......sad!!!

It looks to me as if this whole block has changed, and is under construction for new buildings. The Piccadilly Spice is no longer there, nor is the Chowki in the same street. The Chowki has most certainly been gutted, I think to be replaced by a Japanese restaurant in time.

Been going to this place for 23 years. Fantastic food, service and atmosphere. If you are lucky enough to visit when Faruk the proprietor is in even better. Lovely man.

We had a great value pre-theatre meal in this small Indian restaurant conveniently located very near to Piccadilly Circus. The menu included free popadums to start followed by a mixed starter, choice of mains and a dessert. The wine was good value. For not much more than £20 a head we had a great meal, promptly served enabling us to... More

My sister and I found this gem on one of our visits to London, before attending the Piccadilly Theatre next door. I am a musical theatre lover (and quite enjoyed the show), but surprisingly the best part of the evening was the meal at Piccadilly Spice. I would recommend the 10 pound pre-theatre menu (available all day)- for such a... More

We know this restaurant for years and go there for dinner whenever we are in London. It was named Maharaja Tandoori for years but has been renamed and renovated recently. Actually this was done for a TV show where the try to help restaurants to improve their image. Still the same owners and cook. As always I had my Chicken... More

Ate lunch with my wife. We split a garlic nan and one dish which came with rice. Plenty of flavor and spice without being too hot, and we like hot food. AS OF JULY 2012 THE NAME IS NOW "PICADILLY SPICE". Same owner, they just thought the name would be easier for tourists (per the waiter). It's at the end... More

We stumbled on this lovely Indian restaurant just off Piccadilly Circus. For £9.50 the set lunch was just what we were looking for. What the 3 course (+poppadums) menu lacked in choice it more than made up for in flavour. All served in a lovely setting by friendly staff.

Everything was delicious. I had chicken masala. It was a little mild for my taste. I might ask for it spicy next te but the flavor was great. My girlfriend had the veggie korma. She loved it. Pander was great. Servers were friendly and efficient. Would recommend.

Read a lot in Trip Advisor about this restaurant and decided to give it a try. This restaurant is now known as Piccadilly Spice so don't get confuse when you get there and find that the name is not Maharaja Tandoori! The food was very tasty although I would have liked my vindaloo to be more spicy but I guess... More
