A summary of Indian food

The mixed selection tray is a good summary of Indian food. You get to sample many dishes and pay reasonably. The decor is neat and subtle unlike most Indian restaurants. The service is efficient and fast.

Visited with my Wife when staying locally. The Manager was most helpful in directing us through the menu. The food was freshly cooked and tasty, no complains on that front. We live in the Middle East and understand the cultural habit of eating later. However at 22:00 there were a lot of young children in the restaurant - it resembled... More

I visited Masala Zoine when I was craving for some Indian food and found it around the corner. I was greeted by a friendly waitress followed by an Indian who was quite informative. I ordered their extended thali which comes with option of a meat main, I added mutton as my choice, all the ingredients in the Thali were very... More

If you're looking for a "traditional English" Indian restaurant, this isn't the place for you. But, if you're up for trying something a bit different, then this place is probably right up your street. 1 thing which I wasn't aware of, is the menu varies by restaurant. Masala Zone in Bayswater offers a small selection of the more recognisable Indian... More

During my recent trip to London, I was staying at Paddington and was looking for a Indian restaurant and landed up at Masala Zone. I ordered vegetable thali and was surprised to see option of Surats Undio. Great authentic food, excellent ambience and value for money, seems to be popular here. I would recommend food lovers to explore this place.

Visited this place as part of an organised tour. The food was tasty, meals were served at the table. Neat n clean place. Though we were served the menu planned by our tour organisers, other patrons seemed to be enjoying a variety of dishes from different parts of India. The approach to rest rooms was not convenient to elderly people... More

We set up a family dinner for 11 at the Masala Zone Bayswater. They seemed totally unprepared. It took a good 45 minutes to get drinks and order the meal. After another 45 minutes the food arrived. They blamed the sluggishness on the eatery being overly busy, however, I saw plenty of empty tables. On top of the wait the... More

This was my first Indian dish - we had chicken keema curry and I was nervous because I don't usually eat spicy food. It was really good and I would definitely eat it again. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and great artwork on the walls. Good meal!

We wanted to try Indian food while in London and chose the Masala Zone not far from our hotel. Good service, good food. A good range of different food and spice levels. Waitress was helpful in explaining how their menu worked.
