Decent food

Stopped in on our weekend in London and had a good meal - particularly enjoyed the lamb chops and butter chicken. Good value for money.

We had a great Indian meal here. The food tasted like Indian food cooked in India! At least the malai prawn curry did. We loved our spicy guava juice. The starters were a bit odd. The potato tikki (patty) was clearly out of a freezer and not properly thawed. But they didn't charge us for it when we told them... More

On 12.06 we had dinner here. Ordered Butter chicken and Saffron chicken korma with rice. Chicken portuon was about 4 little pieces in a lot if sauce and the rice served was of course extra. So get about 60-75 gr !! of chicken for an average of 9,5 £ , thats around 125£ for 1 kg chicken, no rice included.... More

The food tasted amazing. The waiter was great.... But we'd have liked a little more in the meat dish. It was mainly the sauce. And then the kicker for me.... 12.5% discretionary service on the bill. Ok discretionary so we could have said remove it. Maybe its just how it is in London (I'm from Derbyshire) but if i *want*... More

Met up with a friend of the wife after ages. 3 Indians looking for an Indian place in London? Never fear, you probably will not exceed 10 steps. I've been to Masala zone many times, although it was first time for the wife and her friend. We ordered the thali - could never go wrong with it. Food was brilliant... More

We came here after walking around Hyde Park, passing a few other Indian places on the way - based on online reviews. Happy we did that. The Food options were great, the variety was very good. We were party of 4 plus a 3 year old. Kid got his crayons and play things when we got seated. The menu of... More

4 of us came here today after reading good reviews on trip advisor. The waitress came to take our order and we advised her than one of us was milk intolerant so asked what they could have. She said she would have to get the manager. Waited about 10 mins for this , thought she could have at least taken... More

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
