Need to speed up on the service

Food was fine but the service was somehow slow,my food was hot but it took forever to get to my table,I think they need faster service to keep this place on track..

Went in for a quick drink before going into the best Italian next door and was pleasantly surprised. It was spacious and comfortable with a really good atmosphere. It also has a nice little 'secret' garden out the back.

Not a typical british pub...which is GREAT. Friendly staff and good selection of drinks and some food if you get hungry.

I've been living in Bayswater for two years now and have tried all the pubs around here. I came to the conclusion that The Porchester is the best. I love the interior, they totally refurbished the place just last year. The atmosphere is friendly and casual and the food is actually really good - better than your normal "pub food".... More

Food was good, the restaurant was pretty noisy though. Somewhere for a casual dinner, not if you want something more upmarket or intimate.

Went for a company lunch in a group of 7. Service was slow, food arrived at random times one by one. Food was good and tasty. By the end when paying the bill, we had been charged for an extra burger. When we queried the extra burger the barman argued with me that we had actually had this extra burger,... More

What's a little slow but it's worth the time or the place of the hamburger and the beer. The neighborhood it's not the nicest but who cares

We went for lunch on a sunday afternoon. We told the waiter that we had a plane to catch so we were in a bit of a hurry. We had to wait more than 45 minutes for our food and they only had 3 more tables. I've been there in 3 ocasions and every time the service was extremely slow.... More

We had 24 people and they were able to feed us all at the same time. I had the stake cooked mediums-rear and it was perfect. Great host and service. We will be back next year.

Lovely pub with a great atmosphere serving excellent food at reasonable prices, we would highly recommend a visit to The Porchester when in Notting Hill.

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
