Located in the heart of the imposing Canary Wharf area of London's Docklands, Jamie's Italian is the superb Italian restaurant from team Jamie Oliver, offering fantastic rustic Italian dishes with a touch of the Oliver magic. A relative newcomer to the Canary Wharf restaurant scene, Jamie's Italian not only attracts the hordes of local suited and booted from the nearby office towers, but also a good section of local residents and visiting shoppers. The menu is terrific with delicious back to basics dishes using the freshest of ingredients. Prices are surprisingly affordable too and the vibe is lively and informal. A great all rounder.

Disappointing - Style (Brand) over substance

Visited with my partner for dinner on an over night treat to london. Although it was a Friday night we got seated immediately. The staff were friendly and efficient. The starter of a bread board was lovely. I had the 'special' seafood linguine. It was ok and cooked well but lacked flavour. My partner had steak which was gorgeous. I... More

I had a wooden board with lots of different treats on it. Each one an explosion of tastes in my mouth. I was with a group and sceptical. Jamie Oliver cannot afford to serve bad food in his restaurants, but I had not expected it to be this good. Everyone else in my group was raving about what they had... More

Lot's of people, a bit noisy, but with a nice athmosphere. The service level was good, the starters we had were all great and the main courses were ok, except for the burger which was far to overcooked and dry. The wine we had was ok, but all the wines are far to overpriced, with at least £ 4-5. If... More

I visited here a few times in the past with family and thought I would take my girlfriend there for Valentines Day. To start we got held up in traffic so contacted the restaurant and said we might be late and told us that they could only hold the table for 15 minutes. Order our food and when it came... More

Third Jamie's I've tried and they are consistent - only consistently average. I will only return if I've no other options. I would expect high quality from the JO brand bearing in mind how he sells himself in TV but when the beef tomatoes aren't close to ripe, there's no excuse. Squid was fine; touch over done but nothing to... More

Visited with few of my friends for dinner, had a great meal... the starters - pork scratchings was extremely delicious... The nacho's were quite different as we were expecting the standard nachos but this one was fried. So was the main course. one of us was expecting pizza as it said Italian, but to our surprise, there wasn't any pizza.... More

We visited here as part of my 50th birthday celebrations, staying at the Hilton nearby. As I had a Birthday offer emailed to me I booked this mentioning the "free" bottle of Prosecco. Almost as soon as we had sat down, the waiter appeared with our free gift! The food was lovely as always, and to top it off there... More

Came in here for lunch with friends from work on a Thursday lunchtime. It was very busy and there was a lively atmosphere. There was quite a bit of wait for us to order, but overall the service was very attentive. I had the famous prawn linguine and it was very nice. Everyone on the table seemed to be very... More

I had been to a team lunch in a group of about 15. The place being Jamie's was obviously crowded. Good that we reserved our table well in advance. The ambiance is really good, tables well placed not giving a feeling of being cramped. The service was very poor. I ordered a side, polenta chips, and it wasn't served until... More
