Located in the heart of the imposing Canary Wharf area of London's Docklands, Jamie's Italian is the superb Italian restaurant from team Jamie Oliver, offering fantastic rustic Italian dishes with a touch of the Oliver magic. A relative newcomer to the Canary Wharf restaurant scene, Jamie's Italian not only attracts the hordes of local suited and booted from the nearby office towers, but also a good section of local residents and visiting shoppers. The menu is terrific with delicious back to basics dishes using the freshest of ingredients. Prices are surprisingly affordable too and the vibe is lively and informal. A great all rounder.

Nothing Pukka on the choices I had

Went with group of work colleagues, not the best of meals, maybe the expectation was too great but I would suggest that you stick to the pasta options. My chicken main was simple in the extreme,my colleague only had half her burger and the deserts were uninspiring to say the least, the pear... read more

Visited for first time with wife and friends. Service was very good but the food was distinctly average and over priced. Won't be going back in a hurry.

The food here is all pretty average and the service is all a bit average too. The posh and funky chips are always reliable and the olives on ice too. But, the rest of the food (the bit where effort actually goes into the cooking) is reliably average - never bad and never anything particularly good. This means that if... More

As always, Steak frites for me and Pasta for my two boys. Everybody was happy, service was though just ok. They could do better. Sometimes, albeit there were not too may people in the restaurant, they did not seem to be on top, my glass of wine nearly came when I had close to finished my steak, My Pro-Secco arrived... More

I've eaten here around 5 times now. The staff are attentive and pleasant, but the place is let down by the inconsistency of the food. The menu is great but there seems to be a real problem with serving the food hot. It seems insane that when everything is cooked so well with so much attention that you'd then serve... More

Reception was okay as I had a booking and they had an early available table (actually a few). Asked a passing by waiter a question about their wifi. Pretended not hearing and walked on. After being seated, I waited about 10 minutes. No waiter seemed interested. Left the joint and went to the Jamie Oliver Diner around the corner. Was... More

Visited on Easter Sunday for lunch. First time to a "Jamie" restaurant and thus had a certain expectation. Completely underwhelmed. Thought the food was bland, nothing here to write home about. Service was good but not sure what planet the 12.5% discretionary charge is deemed appropriate.

There's loads of pricey places on the wharf to eat but this is really good value. Day or night it's always busy. There is a steady rotation of seasonal menu choices to keep it interesting as well as some long running popular dishes. The atmosphere is always nice, noisey but not loud, and the staff are good fun.

Whilst the greeting staff were welcoming and warming, the service staff were definitely not!! Jamie's Italian had sent me a voucher for a free glass of wine with each main course ordered during April. We have eaten at Jamie's Italians elsewhere before and found them to be excellent, however this visit has put us off going to one ever again!... More

Took forever to serve, the food was poor quality. Better service at McDonald's! No bread for starters ! Avoid
