Stumbled upon this restaurant on a previous visit to London when we were staying in a nearby hotel so as we were back in the area we came back as we enjoyed it so much first time around. Very friendly welcome and service in this small authentic restaurant. this time round we had bruschetta which to be honest wasn't great... More

authentic Italian, basic surroundings, and a bit stuffed in, but quaint and lovely. service was fantastic and so was the food, as was the price for London, so what's not to like? our group had steaks which were perfect, and lasagne and tagliatelle, also lovely. yum!

where to start? I love Italian and Mediterranean food and this place was awful. OK, the setting....it is in some horrible mock tudor house interior it was dark, dingy and nothing like anything I've ever seen in Italy or anywhere for that matter. With old dusty brasses and painted on beams?? no olives, bread etc... offered. Italians pride themselvews on... More

This is an Italian family restaurant, and the interior are very charming. The waiters were kind, but sometimes a bit too eager to please. For instance, we had to waiters ask us how our food was, right after each other. I had the paste carbonara, and it was nice and tasty. My wife got a grilled chickens breast for £8... More

Our cabbie in London referred us to Bistro Benito. The staff was friendly and the food was excellent. After a long day of sightseeing and running around London, it was a treat to have authentic Italian food at reasonable prices. It was walking distance from our hotel and one of the best meals we had while we were in London.... More

Lovely old-fashioned Italian bistro, vintage but not dated. Typical Italian service - if they think you have made a mistake in your choice of food or wine, they tell you! Great atmosphere - busy at most times - and the food was very good.

Despite being located in a busy part of the city, the food was delicious and reminded me of a the good Italian restaurants I used to frequent over 30 years ago. No gimmicks just a good Italian menu and a friendly atmosphere. My one criticism was the cheesecake I had for dessert which tasted bland and factory made.
