great Thai food, relaxing atmosphere & friendly service

Chanced upon this restaurant while looking for food in the Soho area. Were positively surprised with our find. This restaurant is hidden away upstairs, great relaxing atmosphere & reasonably spacious. The staff served us well and were attentive to us. We were very hungry and searching for a decent place to eat. A friend of ours has a gluten-allergy, so Thai food seemed like a safe choice (there is often gluten in soy sauce). Unfortunately Thai Tho was unable to guarantee a gluten-free fried rice and offered a substitution. Said substitution was to order two separate items, resulting in a... More

We found this place by accident and had one of the best Thai meals we had experienced in a long time. The starters was really impressive, everything was presented lovely and the food was so delicious. You could watch all the nightlife in Shaftesbury Avenue, and the staff seemed to appear just when you needed them. Tried the cocktails which... More

Popped in here on a Saturday evening after a theatre performance and was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. Often when dining relatively late in the evening I've been disappointed as it seems that many establishments cater for the early evening crowd and kind of switch off later on. However this place was great from start to finish. The service... More

We turned up here on a busy Saturday night and they were very accommodating. The service was good, and the cocktails we had (Passion of Love) were very tasty and absolutely enormous! I felt quite tipsy by the end of mine! The starter was delicious - Moo ping pork skewers with chili sauce. For mains I had the Pad Thai,... More

Don’t be put off by the negative reviews as this is a great place to stop in what can be a very touristy area. I suspect there is an element of sabotage to some of the reviews as if you look through the negative reviews are generally from first time reviewers but the positive ones come from reviewers with more... I recently ate here while in London on part biz part pleasure. I ordered red curry and some steamed rice. The steamed rice is not included, I can't imagine having a curry without rice, however I did order it separately. The curry and rice arrived, the rice was not hot enough, perhaps it sat while the server got around to... More

Unfussy pleasant restaurant. Good food. I have to say most Thai restaurants I go to are pretty good and this is no exception. Reasonably priced too. And. I notice lots of Thai people go here, which can't be a bad advert.

I've been to the Tho Thai Restaurant in Wimbledon and when I stumbled to their restaurant in Soho, I expected the quality to be similar. I was mistaken. Service was poor and the food was not fresh, ending in a night in agony with a stomache. Will never visit the restaurant again!

Staying in Soho

Neighborhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
