Description: Perched along Duke Street in the heart of London's West End, Bella Italia...
Perched along Duke Street in the heart of London's West End, Bella Italia Duke Street is a top spot for affordable Italian dining. With a handful of the capital's major theatres close by, pre theatre diners flock to this branch of Bella Italia for a tasty meal before the show. Dishes such as Penne Marco Polo (duck in plum sauce served atop penne pasta) or Pollo Cacciatore (chicken breast topped with mozzarella and smoky bacon and tomato sauce) feature on an extensive menu. Round off with desserts such as Mascarpone Cheesecake served with red berry compote. Bella Italia offers something for all tastes and is very well priced for this part of the capital.

Nice lunch

We had a nice lunch here while doing a bit of shopping on Oxford Street. Reasonably priced and our meals were tasty. The staff were friendly enough, my only criticism would be that people who came in long after us received their main courses while we were still waiting for our starter (which was... read more

As we walked into the restaurant, we were informed that they had no toilets available to customers, and 'is this ok?' - in retrospect, we should have said no! Unfortunately, the service was very slow (we waited over an hour for our main courses) the food was undercooked in most respects - chewy pasta, hard chips and doughy pizza. We... More

Fast and relatively cheap for the area. It was nice to be able to eat somewhere other than our hotel. The food was good enough.

We ate pizzas there. All were original italian with thin crispy base. Their tastes were above average. The restaurant doesn't need reservation so you can sit and enjoy many food while you are in shopping at Oxford Street. The waiters are kind and they speak italian with their selves. I liked the place.

After a day touring and back to the hotel we saw this restaurant and looked at the menu and went in. We each had a salad and I had clam linguini and my sister had some mushroom pasta dish. Both were delicious and ample portions. The salads were fresh and crisp and served with a mild Italian dressing which I... More

I had booked a couple of weeks in advance to visit the Argyll street Bella Italia as part of a London trip to see a concert in Camden. So when I was phoned up by the Argyll street Bella Italia 30 minutes before we were due to set off to say they couldn't open the kitchen due to lack of... More

Ate here with three children ages 13-17 and found the pizzas and pastas fresh and delicious. Loved the atmosphere too! The prices were reasonable.

The pasta we had was lovely, and the service was good. Our requests were accomodated with a smile and the children's food was tasty as well, not bland in the way many restaurants make children's meals. I found myself wanting more pasta, and generally, for me, that doesn't happen!

Excellent value for money at this restaurant , part of a chain. It is so handy being off Oxford Street. The staff are friendly, the food is good and good atmosphere, wish we had one of these nearer home!

Staying in Mayfair

Neighborhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
