Good value, pleasant service and attractive decor.

I always prefer family run establishments to chains and this one was no exception. We had the Quick Lunch, which at 2 courses for £9.95 is good value. The waitress was very helpful and the food freshly cooked and hot. The tables aren't too close together and the music is discreet. The restaurant... read more

From beginning to end, it culminated into one of the worst eating experiences in my life...so bad I was thinking of cancelling my impending holiday to Crete if this restaurant truly offers the authentic and typical food Greece has to offer. On arrival, my partner and I were met with a really pushy waiter who seemed desperate to reel in... More

This was one of the few times I ate in a Greek restaurant, and I am now a fan of Yialousa Greek Taverna. The meat was very fresh and tender, and set very generously on a large plate lavishly decorated with greens and a rich juicy sauce. The staff were friendly and attentive. I highly recommend Yialousa Greek Taverna for... More

I shared a delightful celebratory evening in Yialousa Greek Taverna with my lady friend a few days ago. The moussaka we shared with our aperitifs were the harbinger of the succulent and expertly seasoned meat and poultry main courses. Now we have booked our St. Valentine's day dinner at Yialousa's! Thanks to the team for the wonderful meal and cheerful... More

we dined here on a cold and rainy january night so the outside seating was not for us. but inside was bright, light, clean and comfortable with greek motifs on the walls and a few Grecian style statues decorating the place. We went for a set tapas menu and were more than happy with the quality and quantity of the... More

Avoid. Visited as a result of street marketing. Place was noisy and filled with smoke from cooking so couldn't see other diners at end of restaurant. Non alcoholic Drinks expensive and unannounced 'service charge of 10%' simply added to the bill. Staff disinterested, service slow, staff making up empty tables instead of serving. Food mediocre.

We cannot miss this restaurant each time we come to London. Went for x-mas and new year!!! Super food, excellent service and good quality. Their lamb is delicious, also the beef and rabbit stew. The hommous is excellent. They also have nice starters. I can only talk positive about Yialoussa! By the way, it never closes...opened all the year. I... More

Pleasant meal, with helpful staff and a friendly owner. Reasonably priced for the area. Would eat there again.

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
