Adequate Greek food - relatively reasonable prices

We waited an awfully long time for service and for our food. From my vantage point I watched one of the staff fixing his hair behind the counter. Gratuities were added to the bill, so be sure to check. The food was not great, but not bad either. If you are tired, as we were, and just need food... read more

This weary traveler ate here twice during a 7-day stay, Very convenient to the Hotel Russell and best of all, the food was plentiful and well-prepared. Traveling can wear one down, I wanted a hot, well prepared, nourishing, affordable meal in a clean, quiet environment. This is it!

At 8pm my family (4 of us) all decided we were hungry so I rang Yialousa and asked if they could do gluten free meals, they said yes and we booked in for 8:45pm. We arrived to an almost full restaurant which is a great recommendation and the food, atmosphere and staff were all brilliant - attentive but not overly... More

Yialousa Greek Taverna was the solution for our party joining hearty meat-eaters and devoted vegetarians. We dug into sumptious Greek sausages, awesomingly seasoned falafels, and supremely tasty stuffed aubergines. The service like the food was first-rate. I am happy to have discovered a restaurant that can please all my friends! Carmen

Went here for tea. Ordered Greek got English - Kleftikon has English gravy on. Food traditional , good portion but a bit bland. Service worked hard to please. Over priced even in London . Feels a bit casual too. Restaurant seen better days. Lying opposite a big hotel , this is a tourist honey pot. You wouldn't go there otherwise.

A wonderful, kind staff makes it easy to enjoy this establishment. Very good food, and a short wine list works well. Excellent location as well.Overall a good choice.

I went there with my brother. We are Greeks so we thought to give it a try. We had pork kebab, tzatziki, bougiourdi(tomato and feta in the oven) chips and pita bread. Simple stuff. Everything was good but there was oregano missing from all the dishes. Anyways you can only taste the REAL greek cuisine in Greece. But it's not... More

We were staying up the road at a nearby hotel for the weekend on business and discovered Yialousa. The food was excellent, seemed authentic and homemade with good size portions. We were so impressed that we returned the following evening and found it just as good. Pricing was reasonable and service was good. The only downside was that the front... More
