Great steak, giant martini's & guaranteed fun. Open all day, ideal for business lunch, post work cocktail, a perfect pre & post show hotspot, fabulous dinner with friends or big blow out with a party. Our steaks are cut from naturally raised, native breed British beef, much of which we age & butcher in house. Whilst beef is our thing, we have other favourites BBQ ribs, grilled fish, roast chicken, fresh salads & amazing homemade puddings. We are all about the personal touch & great for any occasion.

Phew ...back to good

Sophies Covent Garden is in a great location and is a cavernous space. We have been here many times after shopping and going to the theatre but on our last visit before this one we found the food and experience very poor and on that basis, haven't been back for many months. Decided to give it a... read more

I rang this restaurant wanti g to book a table for 14 people on a friday evening. My first phone call was answered and i explained i wanted to make a booking and gave all the details only to be told, in a very rude and abrupt manner to 'ring back later cuz we are dead busy at the min',... More

We went before and after the theatre, pre theatre the place was busy and we only had drinks they were very nice, i recommend the Sicilian cocktail. When we left i asked to reserve a table and the manger said they don't take bookings but would try and sort something out for us which he did after the show. At... More

I was very pleasantly surprised as I thought this was going to be a real mediocre tourist trap. The wait staff were really friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. No messing around with it, this was straightforward steakhouse food of very high quality. I had traditional fish and chips which were unusually good, others in our party had... More

Been three times and always delivers. Are they the best steaks in London? Probably not but still very good and significantly cheaper with a more vibrant atmosphere than Hawksmoor or Goodmans. Excellent and friendly service makes it for me and all the people we have taken have really enjoyed it.

My wife and I came to London to see a performance at Dury Lane. We then had to decide where to eat and were glad we decided to choose Sophie's steakhouse. My wife had the ribs and I choose the black Angus burger. Both were excellent as were the staff that served us. Would certainly visit again!

What more to say? Great dry aged steaks. But Tripadvisor wants 100 words. So here's more. Nice ambience and they don't rush you. Had a nice relaxing dinner chat in the back section without heavy noise. Seating in front is for noisy tourists who orders burgers in a steakhouse.

Met a cousin for tea. I really wanted a steak but was not prepared to pay £28-£71 for one. Opted for the £17 lamb which was really well cooked & tasty. But had to pay for veg. Pleasant but pricey. Front desk were very nice. Waiters were good but not excellent.

Thank you for taking the time to review us. I am sorry you didn't try our steak frites. Fabulous Cornish rump steak for a tenner available from 12noon to 7pm daily. Kind regards, Sophie More

We were 12 of us that had pre-booked and we arrived at 9:00pm on a Friday evening; the place was buzzing with after-work diners, weekend trippers and assorted allsorts; cocktails were ordered (the Expresso Martinis were particularly impressive) and we all launched straight into mains... I went for a ribeye steak and asked if it could be cooked the "rare... More

We visited on bank holiday Monday. We've eaten here once before and enjoyed it so thought we would try it again and are glad we did. We were seated straight away and given a selction of menus. The kids went for the pre-theatre menu that is £15 for 2 courses or £18 for 3 courses. One had calamari starter, both... More
