Nice place with good service. However, the food was at best very average from appetizer from starter to desert. Tomato sauce tastes distinctly canned and "tiger prawns" were tiny shrimp. While it was crowded during my visit, for the price, there has to be a better alternative.

We asked our concierge to recommend an Italian restaurant close by. He told us to go to Old Amalfi (maybe his brother). Whilst I am not knocking the quality of the food: good fresh stuff and my fillet steak was very good this place lacks any finesse at all. Seervice is fine but the presentation is very poor, add to... Ate here last Saturday, whilst staying at the Mercure across the road - we were going to a show so wanted an early dinner. Only one other couple in the restaurant - but we did have to wait some time for our food, and for our order to be taken, not too much of a problem but we did not... More

Service is quite fast, polite and friendly. Staff speaks italian, and seems to be italian...this is a nice thing. Nice courses and espresso. The only disappointment was the 10% of charge to pay for the service.

Popped in here for an early dinner with a friend. Friendly staff - we had a pizza each and a bottle of the house white which came to £40. Delicious food and would go again.

With friends visited for the first time and enjoyed a delicious pasta dish with Italian sausage, peas, mint and a creamy sauce. House red wine was light and fresh. Service was very friendly and helpful. Surroundings better than most Italian restaurants in the Bloomsbury area. Will definitely go again.

Lovely intimate little place.Very extensive menu.We all had the king prawn starter and it was superb. Of the mains two of us had pizza and they were perfect. One had the Callamari, again spot on. The fourth member of our group had a chicken and potato dish ,the name of which escapes me,but it was super tasty. The usual Itallian sweets. All... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
