Off chance visit

We called in on a Sunday evening on the off chance, it was close to our hotel, but they were very accommodating and found us a table without a problem despite it being busy. Food and service were very good and prices reasonable. Glad we chose to eat there and would definitely return if in the area.

Called in one Sunday night, had starter and a pizza, food very good and service fine, would we go back, yes. Value for money and a nice casual meal.

A welcoming ambience and staff. The rib-eye was amazing. Perfectly cooked. We visited this restaurant twice during our short holiday

I do not normally write reviews anymore but I'm giving a big shout out for this little place! Incredible... Food that nona would make and you want to lick the plates clean - I really am quite speechless after the seafood spaghetti and the tiramisu is sublime!

This time we went in for coffees , just over £7 for 3 with hot or cold milk , cups and saucers ,just perfect, we sat, talked and laughed for sometime. In this area most places are ones that one will be glad never to eat in again ever. The Old Amalfi chef will , if you ask , cook your... More

We had a great night in Old Amalfi - lovely table by the front window, good food and friendly helpful staff. Atmosphere is very good. It was New Year's night so a good way to start 2016. Recommended.

visited a few days before christmas and wanted to eat somewhere close to our hotel (hotel russell), the pizza was incredible, honestly couldn't fault it. Service was lovely too and it wasn't hugely expensive. Will be visiting again when I am next in London.

We were staying in the Holiday Inn at Bloomsbury. We asked the concierge for a good restaurant to have dinner in close by. He recommend a Turkish restaurant, when we got there we were not impressed. Luckily next door was the "old amalfi" what a great place, fab food, fab service. We would recommend this. 5 stars.

Came here the day before my 30th Birthday with my 9yr old son and we were both blown away. The food was delicious and of a excellent quality, the people were friendly and went out of their way to ensure we were happy. The atmosphere was comfortable yet still fancy enough to feel like a lovely night out. They even... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
