Hoping to spend a relaxing evening with some upscale pub food we decided to dine at Drayton Arms. The menu looked promising but didn't deliver. We had reserved a table in advance for 3 people and were given a very small round table, despite the fact that there were larger tables available which hadn't been reserved. We placed our food... Visited this pub with colleagues. The ambiance is excellent, with outside seating area, great for smoking lovers. Location is excellent. Waiters and service are average. pricy pub.

Drayton Arms is often a pleasure in this part of London and always wonderful when the cosy theatre upstairs has a performance, sometimes from student actors, such as last weeks brilliant and moving Merchant of Venice with some of the cast playing a couple of parts including always riveting 'Shylock' and the court speeches. Dinner optional. Speechless.

We chose to have a late Sunday lunch here before going to the Royal Albert Hall for an evening concert. We arrived at 4.00 pm. and it took about half an hour for our starters to arrive and a further half an hour for the main course. We found the staff friendly and liked the relaxed atmosphere, but given that... More

Went here for a "proper Sunday roast" dinner over the weekend. The food was good but both bar and dinner service was slow. We didn't get seated at a table so needed to order directly from the bar. It was a full 10 minutes for the bartender to take my order, pour a glass of wine and make one drink.... More

We had a good meal here. The fish and chips were a little greasy but the chicken and chips were great. The environment was inviting. Easy walk from our hotel by the Gloucester tube station. I'd go again.

Hi SusieFromMN Thank you for your kind review of the pub. I'm glad you enjoyed your time with us and our southern Fried Chicken, apologies for the fish being a little greasy though - its certainly not supposed to be like that and I have passed that feedback onto our kitchen team. This is a busy pub in a lively part of London. It has a very pleasant atmosphere with a very varied clientele. Staff are pleasant and efficient. There are plenty of seats and tables. I ate here a couple of times with a business friend and the food is good too. Drinks prices are normal for London, but a bit... More

We have been eating at The Drayton Arms for many years on twice annual trips to England. The staff has always been courteous and helpful, and the cask ales on offer delicious. The menu is varied and tasty. There are vegetarian options, too. We have tasted many things they have on offer, and will certainly return again next trip.

During a recent holiday in London with my family, we happened upon the Drayton Arms at the end of the block on which we were staying in South Kensington.
