Truly one of our favorite London Pubs!

We have been dining at the Drayton Arms for many years, and very much enjoy it—we look forward to going for dinner each time we are in London. This visit we dined on a Saturday night, quite busy for them with a theatre presentation upstairs later in the evening. We ordered pints of cask ales, which... read more

Very odd staff for such a great venue. They need to self reflect on how they interact with their clients. Not welcoming or for that matter courteous at all. They get away with it because it's such a great space and perfectly located. Good luck to the staff

A nice place to relax with the family or catch up with friends, there is even a small play area for children, they cater for weddings and parties, and have other fun nights organised-a favourite of the family's for years.

The three of us did not eat here, but we did have a pint. Lovely staff, very good selection of beer, comfortable seating, nice ambience and crowd. The menu looked interesting enough to come back and eat.

We found the Drayton Arms on a random Google search for a pub with outside seating. In the end we sat indoors, but we had a marvellous afternoon. The staff were friendly and helpful, our food was very quick to arrive and was lovely when it came. On finding out that there were two birthdays being celebrated in our group,... More

Service so slow and only put £6 in the pay and display so offered to pour my own wine while she was pouring the Guiness and trying to work out the till. The wine at £10.65 a glass was awful .had obviously been open for some time as they clearly agreeded. They did open a new bottle which was great,however... More

For anyone who likes decent-quality food to go with their drink(s) when watching a match...we dropped in to catch the rugby and had a very nice Sunday lunch while we were at it. We tried the beef and lamb roasts and all was delicious. The service (Louisa) was very friendly and efficient. A step up from your typical sports bar.... More

The Drayton is a "local" pub for me and I go there quite often. It is ok but the main problem is a perpetually changing staff who have (i) lack of knowledge of what they're selling (no idea on wine list for e.g.) and (ii) total lack of customer service instinct, not even a smile, disinterested, perfunctory etc. This could... Dear NIGGLE32 Thank you for taking the time to review the Drayton Arms. I booked this place based on trip advisor reviews as it was close to somewhere we were visiting with my parents. From the outside I was a little unsure, but as soon as we got inside, we were given a very warm welcome and found some seats near the fire. The menu is good honest British pub grub and we... More

Although the night we went was quiet we could see the type of place this is on a busier night. The menu is good pub fayre, tasty with some classics and some unusual dishes. The service was great , very friendly and the food tasty, the assorted mushrooms on toast particularly good. Very good beer/ale selection with some unusual craft... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
