Watch the game and eat well too

For anyone who likes decent-quality food to go with their drink(s) when watching a match...we dropped in to catch the rugby and had a very nice Sunday lunch while we were at it. We tried the beef and lamb roasts and all was delicious. The service (Louisa) was very friendly and efficient. A step up... read more

We found the Drayton Arms on a random Google search for a pub with outside seating. In the end we sat indoors, but we had a marvellous afternoon. The staff were friendly and helpful, our food was very quick to arrive and was lovely when it came. On finding out that there were two birthdays being celebrated in our group,... More

Service so slow and only put £6 in the pay and display so offered to pour my own wine while she was pouring the Guiness and trying to work out the till. The wine at £10.65 a glass was awful .had obviously been open for some time as they clearly agreeded. They did open a new bottle which was great,however... More

The Drayton is a "local" pub for me and I go there quite often. It is ok but the main problem is a perpetually changing staff who have (i) lack of knowledge of what they're selling (no idea on wine list for e.g.) and (ii) total lack of customer service instinct, not even a smile, disinterested, perfunctory etc. This could... Dear NIGGLE32 Thank you for taking the time to review the Drayton Arms. I am sorry that you do not feel our team delivered the service that you expected during your visit on Sunday, I understand that there was a mix up with your wine selection that day and that you do not feel that we handled this situation well,... I booked this place based on trip advisor reviews as it was close to somewhere we were visiting with my parents. From the outside I was a little unsure, but as soon as we got inside, we were given a very warm welcome and found some seats near the fire. The menu is good honest British pub grub and we... More

Although the night we went was quiet we could see the type of place this is on a busier night. The menu is good pub fayre, tasty with some classics and some unusual dishes. The service was great , very friendly and the food tasty, the assorted mushrooms on toast particularly good. Very good beer/ale selection with some unusual craft... More

Eleven of us went to see "Letters from Everyone" in the Drayton Theatre after a great meal in the restaurant bar. Excellent food and drink, convivial atmosphere, prompt attentive service by Willow and then a fantastic play in the theatre upstairs. More drinks afterwards to discuss the play!

Spent New Years Eve 2014 at the Drayton Arms, had a fantastic evening, great food, theatre show then fab dj to end the night. Really loved the decor and staff were really helpful. Been here a couple of time before and spending New years here was a great idea, I would recommend this to friends and would certainly come back.

What really attracted us to spend our New Year's Eve at Drayton Arms was the live jazz, four course meal and cabaret, all on offer for £55. We were impressed with the excellent value. Drayton is a really good quality London pub oozing with character, with a real fire and, given the time of year, sumptuous Christmas decorations. The classy... More

We came here by the recommendation of our local friend. They had called ahead of time and thought they made a reservation, but when we got there, they didn't have anything on file. Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
