Description: Start your holiday with a Bacon Butty or the famous Bloody Mary...
Start your holiday with a Bacon Butty or the famous Bloody Mary hangover-cure at The Tin Goose in Heathrow Airport Terminal 1, overlooking the planes and offering a haven from the stress of a busy airport terminal. Geronimo's first airport site, named after the first all-metal aeroplane, The Tin Goose evokes memories of travel in the 30's and 40's with antique trunks used as tables, port holes, retro burnt-orange velvet banquettes and binoculars for watching the planes land. The menu boasts an all-day English breakfast, freshly-made sandwiches, fish and chips, Charcuterie platter and more. The char-grilled prime beef burger with all the trimmings is also a firm favourite. Whether a single traveller, group or family, the Goose is ideal for relaxing and unwinding before boarding your plane. There is no better way to begin your holiday, so make sure The Tin Goose is the first stop on your itinerary.

I stopped in the place in transit for a Bloody Mary. Waited 20 minutes while the bartender walked back and forth ignoring me. In general I think service in Europe is very good, but if there was ever a case for having staff work for tips this was it.

Based on my experience, I'm a little surprised that the reviews for this place are so negative. The Tin Goose has a great atmosphere and excellent decor for an airport restaurant. Very comfortable way to spend an hour or so waiting for a flight. I had the Mixed Couscous Salad and it was actually very good. Service was not stellar... More

20 minutes ago I walked OUT of this shocking establishment . I went in, grabbed a menu and a seat as instructed by the stand at the front of the restaurant. Place looked lovely but when I pulled out the chair to sit on it was covered in black dirt and the one opposite was ripped and looked like it... More

The burger was SO over cooked it was inedible. I sent it back. They refused to cook it any other way. I asked to replace it with Fish'n'Chips. They insisted that I pay the difference. The fish never came before I had to leave for my flight. Luckily, they were willing to refund the price of the burger, but the... More

I had a connecting flight and needed to grab myself some breakfast while waiting. It's a good job I had plenty of time as the service was very slow and when the waiter arrived he was very rude, regardless of the quite restaurant and the social time of day. The food was good when it arrived but nothing special. Next... More

The Tin Goose is not as dedicated to the presentation of real ales as the Wetherspoon pubs (including its Heathrow branches). After last and this year's visits of the Campaign for Real Ale's Great British Beer Festival in early August, the Goose's tasting tray offer (three third-pint glasses with English cask ales) sounded tempting to me. But they never had... More

The Tin Goose although not outstanding is a good place to refuel after a flight. The selection of food is good and I enjoyed my meal. The service was excellent and price especially for an airport are reasonable.

They've tried to emulate Huxley's in T5, but failed miserably. Don't even bother. High prices, low quality. Full breakfast = lots of (cold) beans, a sausage, a slice of bacon, a badly fried egg and 2 pieces of toast...
