Great for tourists and locals alike!

Popped in here one evening during the week with a friend. This is a massive pub, lots of seating. As it's a Weatherspoons, the prices prices are very good especially given the location, so tourists do pop in as you won't get ripped off!

Went here last Friday and had the Steak & Kidney Pudding, Chips, Peas and gravy. It was less than £7, which is great value. The pub was busy with drinkers on the friday night but staff found us a table

We stayed in a hotel near the tower and decided not to pay the £21.50 each they wanted for breakfast, popped into the Liberty Bounds ans had a superb breakfast, good service, food was hot. After a day in the city we made our way back and popped in for our evening meal, fantastic value for money.

We were waiting for the night tour at the Tower of London had a couple of hours to kill so we set in this pub and stayed warm I had a very nice meal and watch the locals coming and going. Recommended if you need to hang around the tower area. We set under the stairs on the second floor... More

I popped in here on the way to The Tower Of London. Breakfasts looked good but I stuck to a very nice coffee in there. Tried to get back for early dinner and it was packed out with diners which was sad for me. The food looked good and was nicely presented.

This is a wetherspoons pub with traditional decor but in a great location overlooking the ToL. Try and get a table upstairs to get the best view. Standard wetherspoons food and drink.

We found this by accident after coming off the tube and went back one evening and lunchtime. We didn't eat here but had a few decent drinks and although more expensive than home in lincs it was reasonable for London. It was a bit rough and ready but it had a nice atmosphere.

Visited the pub whilst visiting central London with my partner, we stayed at a very good hotel around the corner "The Apex". We wanted a quick meal when after we booked into the hotel and popped into this Weatherspoons, the meal was served very quickly even though the pub was very busy, the meal was hot and tasty. We were... More

My husband and myself stayed Friday/Saturday night in a hotel around the corner and used The Liberty Bounds for breakfast each morning. Full large English breakfast and a mug of tea X 2 =£11 (our hotel wanted £21 each)!!! Food was always cooked well, arrived promptly. Staff are friendly and well organised. Also stopped off for a drink in the... More

While I give this a low rating I have to say it really refers to the service we received at breakfast on Friday 15th January. We waited over 30 minutes from placing the order and noticed that people who had ordered after us were receiving their meals,we enquired at the bar what had happened the Staff member went to the... Staying in City of London

Neighborhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighborhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighborhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
