Eat Somewhere Else

I have eaten oysters all over the West Coast of the US, in New Zealand and France as well as several places in London, including Harrods. The oysters at the Cow were poor in comparison and certainly overpriced. My wife's lunch was less than average. Would not recommend this establishment to anyone.

I ate at the Cow to celebrate a birthday with 3 other people. We ordered 6 oysters to start and paid £120 for what seemed an average quality meal. Unfortunately, 3 of us suffered from food poisoning the next day (I will spare the truly gruesome details) . Two of us missed 2 days of work, it was a truly... More

Food was heavy and unbecoming. Expected better from this gastropub... Pity, becauce service was good, and atmosphere by the bar (where we did not sit...) seemed hippish!! But food was simply not good enough!!

Love The Cow. A true local pub, with lots of atmosphere, great food and cool people. The restaurant upstairs is not a success though (last time I went the service was terrible and the room freezingly cold, the time before that I got food poisoned). But I keep going to the pub every week.

A nice quiet meal. Friendly service. Food fairly expensive for what it is but I guess that's the area. Would still definitely recommend though.
