We have always felt that the varied menu and quality of food makes Brown a reliable place to eat but this will be our last trip as it has seemed to run out of steam and the quality of food is not what it was. We had Sunday lunch and it was just piles of Mis matched food on a... More

I attended a meeting which was held in one of the private function rooms upstairs. What a lovely and historic pub. The buffet we had couldnt be faulted. The staff were welcoming and friendly. It was also great to see the actors from next doors theatre taking breaks just outside the door. Who knows who u could see.

DONT EAT HERE WARNING**** This place was a disgrace. Looked good from the outside so we went in and they sat us down. We were only after a bottle of wine to share between the two of us and a side of chips. When the waitress came to take our order, we told her what we were after and rudely... More

I was with my family looking for a decent sit-down meal in central London. Browns came to mind. We were seated right at the back. The decor has a pleasant feel although the tables and chairs seemed to be haphazardly positioned. This gave an impression of a restaurant which had just had just been visited by the local rugby team.... More

Booked a table through 'open table' for set price Heritage menu (2 courses for £20). This wasn't available just a la carte menu and the pre theatre menu (2 courses for £14 which didn't look as good). We went for the pre theatre menu. I had crab and prawn linguine and my husband had the steak pie for mains. My... More

I have been here several times and never been overly impressed so why I return I don't know....well I do it's the happy hour £5 cocktails! Worth not a penny more I add. This time we opted for some bar snacks, ordered with the sour bar man...anybody would think I'd asked him to cook them himself... 45 minutes later our... More

Having eaten at other Browns restaurants in the past, I was pleased that my boyfriend and I were able to get a table on a busy Saturday evening without booking. I was worried that we would have to wait a long time to be served (as we had theatre tickets), but our mains arrived about 10 minutes after ordering (before... More

Decided to pop in for a cocktail after a show and wasn't disappointed. The menu was varied and included all the classics, the staff clearly knew how to mix and the glassware was delightful! We opted for a You Rang M'Lord (gin, lemon juice, elderflower and violet) which was like a grown up slush puppy only nicer! A wonderfully refreshing... More

We went here on Saturday at 1pm and as we walked in (door furthest from the bar) it looked quite empty and pleasant. We were seated between 2 couples and we were so close we could hear every word they said. Then a hen party came in and they were sat in the same area and although they were not... More
