Great food. Good value. Pleasant and efficient service. Set menu offered good food and well measured portions. Do try the salted caramel profiteroles - they're to die for!

We were a group of 10 eating out for a birthday and had outstanding service from a waiter, Todd. All our requests were accommodated with a smile - we brought our own birthday cake and it was brought out to us with candles. The burger and fish and chips were average, the belly pork was a little fatty. The mash... More

The entrance to Browns looked ok - you could tell straight away that it was a little dated in it's appeal, sort of end of the 1990's, start of the noughties, but my friends and I had all eaten in Browns in other parts of the UK and had had good experiences. Waiting to be seated was painfully slow -... More

Another great lunch in a lovely restaurant with a fab ambience. Our waiter looked after us superbly and our meals were very well presented and there was nothing to fault the whole experience. As a pre theatre restaurant this is a must. We were not rushed at all. Will definitely be visiting again!

Browns looks nice from the outside, the food was average and the service wasn't all that. There was also a protest going on outside regarding lobsters being boiled alive, I didn't know Browns did that and to be honest that puts me off going back.

Good afternoon Deninbtn, I'm sorry your evening was disturbed by a small but vocal demonstration outside our premises at the weekend. We would like to reassure you that we do not 'boil our lobsters' alive as suggested by the demonstration. We have the highest regard for animal welfare standards and follow standard industry practice to minimise distress when handling and... More

I visited for a meal with a relative (who was familiar with the venue). The menu was interesting and a number of options were tempting. The lamb was delicious though a larger serving size would have been preferred. Service was excellent. We would have stayed longer had I not been going to a music venue afterwards.

We went to Browns for a pre theatre lunch, from outside it looks very grand and inside is very nice, we were greeted with a warm welcome and shown to our table, now this is where it kind of went from an enjoyable lunch to almost a race as we were told that we could only have the table for... More

We went on a Saturday as a group of 10 and the place was very busy Staff seemed rushed off their feet - I had to ask 3 seperate times for the Gluten Free options and then the selection was very limited Didn't really seem to understand or appreciate the issue Couldn't have a starter so straight into a main... We hadn't booked so there was quite a wait for a table....just over an hour......we decided to set up camp in the bar. We were pleasantly surprised at the extensive drinks menu and the prices were reasonable too, considering we were in the West End. We opted for a bottle of prosseco which really hit the spot......the barman Chris offered... More
