Enjoyable Lunch

Having had cocktails at the bar first we sat down for lunch of two courses for £11.95. Either a starter and main, or main and dessert. It is a very big place and there were plenty of people in, but it was by no means full up. The food was very good for the price and the portions were plentiful... read more

Having taken time to find a restaurant for before theatre dinner we were impressed not only by the ambience, the staff and most importantly the food. going again shortly. After the show we returned to have another bottle of champers, which was half price on a Friday, before getting the train home.

A nice place to while away the afternoon. Simple eats and a well stocked bar (although not so strong for real craft beers). Spacious and well lit is a welcome change from the small and dingy bars that are dotted around Covent Garden.

A friend and I had the pre-theatre menu, which is actually good value BUT the meal was spoilt by the most uncomfortable chairs, we were given a high table and chairs and by the time the meal was finished I literally had such bad pins and needles in my feet that I couldn't feel them. The chairs seem to have... More

Terrible, booked seven days before the event and when we turned up, we did not have a table. This was resolved after talking to the manager. Then we were stung for drinks we never had... Really!

My wife and I have been going to Browns in Covent Garden for several years and always found them to be quite reasonable and fairly good quality. However something must have changed. On our last visit on Sunday we both chose the roast chicken. It was not good. The smallest piece of chicken - I have seen larger cuts of... More

We got together a whole group of us who used to work together as one ex-colleague was over from the US. Brown's is great fun. We started with drinks in the bar and then later moved to the restaurant. There were 11 of us in total. We had good food, good fine, great service and lots of fun. And the... More

Went here for dinner in 2014 and it was very enjoyable. So we came back in 2015 for a late lunch. Absolutely awful. The set price late lunch menu for £11.95 per head looked good. We ordered the char grilled chicken breast with brie and chips an lobster sandwich. Chicken was ok but bro was off. Lobster was very bad.... More
