would like to go back and try the rest of the menu

we had pre-theatre meals booked, so was limited to the menu, but what we had I enjoyed. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our ticket said 6pm for our meal but we turned up early (5pm) as we had run out of things to do and though we would have a drink at the bar and wait for our table.... read more

My husband had rung but we were told no bookings, just walk in. There was plenty of room when we arrived, empty tables but very full bar so the atmosphere was welcoming and buzzy. The service was excellent and we had our orders taken promptly. Water was brought first as we were told the bar was busy, but our Aperol... More

Hi, I came here in march with my husband as we were in London for a show as part of my 40th birthday. Instead of going for a meal as we thought it was too early, we decided on afternoon tea at Brown's. The ddecor / interior is beautiful, but I have to say that we waited about 40 minutes... More

Had a pre theatre meal so was really please with the efficient service. staff were pleasant and helpful. Food was super. I had the pork chop with an interesting mash containing bits of black pudding. Great cider sauce to accompany. Despite being busy it felt cosy and comfortable.

We stumbled on this place while looking for a quick and reasonable lunch mid shopping trip on a Saturday. Good choice as it turns out. It is quite a large establishment and there were a few vacant tables on a busy day. Nice ambience, quick, polite and pleasant service, and good food. No criticisms. But if I were to niggle,... More

We booked a table of four for an afternoon tea treat for a friend's birthday. The offer of £16 for two is extremely good value and we couldn't fault the food. The scones, sandwiches and cakes plus the copious amount of tea served were excellent. Unfortunately it was the service which was extremely poor. Our French waiter's understanding of the... More

We booked this restaurant as part of a theatre deal and it was well worth a visit. The food was gorgeous and well above what we expected. My husband had the lobster sandwich and I had the seabass. Both were superbly cooked and delicious. Desserts were even better. Will definitely return next time we go to the theatre in the... More

We tried Browns for a Birthday treat, the occaision was somewhat spoilt by the poor table arrangements and a rather rude and surly waiter. Our table virtually blocked the routenthat the server had to take to serve the tables behind us, and the waiter insisted on us standing or knocking us if we did not happen to see him approaching.... Had enjoyable meal at this busy brasserie. Great food, lively atmosphere, friendly staff. Booked online and was given a lovely table by the window. Good value will definitely be returning.
