Four of us looking for an informal early dinner nr Piccadilly. Found this little gem. 1000% better than all the tourist traps near Leicester Sq. Cod & chips excellent so don't be ashamed to ask for it. Bream very good, choc desert with walnut ice-cream was delightful. Will visit again.

I went to Fishworks for the second time. The first time was pretty good. For the second time, I booked through OpenTable and had 50% off. Firstly the instructions were not clear. OpenTable said that food was 50% off. When i recahed, there was a confusion that if it was all food and what were the conditions. Finally the waitress... More

We had dinner to celebrate my husbands 65 years day. My husband had shrimpscoctail and I crab on toast for starter. Both dishes were very good, then we had salmon with spinat and mash. It was a fantatic experience. We recommend this restaurant to all fishlovers.

Right From the moment you enter the restaurant you know these people are serious, with what looks like a well stocked fish shop at the entrance. The menu is varied and supported by a list of specials. I had the whitebait followed by whole sea bream with olives and tomatoes which - both really good. We were on the 50%... More

A final (of the weekend) birthday dining treat for me...the food was up to the usual standard (3 or more previous visits). My assorted oyster plate was most enjoyable, as was the cod in batter main course. Without being...!? We remember this place from the moment it opened and we haad a lunch or dinner there each time we were in London. It was always very good and extremely busy popular restaurant. Our last visit was a bit different. The place was half empty on a Saturday night , the service was good and friendly but unprofessional. The waitress... More

Every year we travel two or three times to London and this is one of the places we go more, as it's a family favourite. The food is amazing and the staff is great. Thumbs up from as. Hope to go soon.

We had a bad experience at this restaurant a couple of years ago but, after writing about it on TripAdvisor, the management stepped in and made amends so well that we have continued to visit the place ever since. My partner had a fish dish called Fruits de Mer which was served entirely chilled. That was a first for her... More

Staying in Mayfair

Neighborhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
