Try the Liver

Went with the family for an evening meal, unfortunately the restaurant was empty so lacked in atmosphere. The service was excellent, great wine list and the food was very good. I was recommended the liver by a friend, it did not disappoint. It must be the best liver I've tasted outside of... read more

Great service, great environment, great nibbles, great wine, great menu, unbelievable calamari, great calves liver, and great house red on the side. Didn't touch the amoretti cheese cake but I am told it was fab. I like this place. The staff are attentive and knowledgable, the chefs cook some amazing Italian food and standing at the copper covered bar in... More

A business lunch here this week went well enough. He food was delicious in slightly old school way though the whole place is an 80's time warp. Their real challenge is that the whole restaurant is in an airless and natural light free basement and its hard to come back from that however charming the staff and good the food.

A bit old school and the decor is certainly dated but the good and wine is great. Really good atmosphere. I could spend hours in here - oh I did!

Quite a strange place but been here years. the décor reminds you of the 80's but don't let put you off. The food was excellent - 8 diners and everyone really enjoyed their meals from starters to dessert. Great meat and pasta.

Great Italian Cooking, good wine and even better service. Great place to go in Mayfair where you can enjoy a first class meal without going broke! Service is exceptional, especially Eva!

Fourteen of us met for lunch. The place filled up and we had an extended reunion lunch. Service and food were very good. Absolutely no complaints.

Not a good place to go if you are in a hurry. That is not a complaint about the service at all, that was very good. The place is so chilled and welcoming it is very easy to lose track of time. The food I cannot fault at all. Will most certainly be going back again.

Giving an average rating because it was, well, just average. For a basement setting, it's quaint. The bar is nice as are the bartenders. The food wasn't anything over the top. Not on my top 20 list of places to go in London.

Staying in Mayfair

Neighborhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
