If you can get the little booth at the back you really feel you are in japan. Service is so polite and what you would expect. Everything from the miso soup to the sushi itself is first class and very reasonably priced. Mixed sushi plate is a great call for one person and team it up with a shaqred tempura... More

My boyfriend and I went for a quick pre-gig dinner on a Tuesday evening. We weren't the first table despite it being early. The menu is great, covers the classics and some things I hadn't seen before. They also have an extensive choice of sake. We both had the Sushi Waka Special which included sushi, sashimi, tempura, teriyaki chicken, rice,... More

A family run restaurant, very small but cute with traditional elements of Japanese culture. The fish was very fresh and yummy.

One of my favourite traditional sushi places to go to! Its a small and intimate setting so you do feel as if you have found a little gem near the heart of Camden. The fish is generous and the set menu/bento boxes are very good. The price is very reasonable as well for sushi standards and the green tea ice... More

I'm a regular here, and it never disappoints. Excellent sushi and hot dishes (I recommend the soft shell crab). There's a gorgeous Japanese room upstairs if you fancy a more authentic experience. The bill never comes to more than £40, which is a good amount of food and Saki. Definitely the best in Camden, and one of the best in... More

Four of us enjoyed an early dinner at Sushi Waka before a gig at the Jazz Cafe. On a Tuesday night it was full, I was glad we had booked. The sushi was lovely, fresh and beautifully presented, marred only by the chef's over-generous hand with the wasabi - I like wasabi but here we couldn't taste the fish for... More

We love this place. We probably go there at least once a week and have never been disappointed (except once when we went on a Sunday and they were closed!) The fish is always beautifully fresh and generously portioned. The cooked dishes are fresh and delicious (the black cod in particular is a favourite.) The decor is not sleek and... More

I went there last week for my girlfriend's birthday because she really loves Sushis. I actually wanted to book Asakusa but they were full and recommended me to go there. I have to thank them for the recommendation. We went there with a couple of friends. I was unfortunately not aware of the 1st level room when I booked, but... More

Worked about 200 yards away from this place and passed by it many times without considering eating there as it was so small and not particularly attractive. Ended up having dinner there one night with a colleague who said he remembered eating there and it was ok. Sushi Waka is a lot more than ok. It's great fresh authentic sushi... More
