Prompt service, simple healthy food

We had a quick bite to eat in here before heading to a gig. We were short on time, so were pleased with the prompt service. Its a simple place with simple food. I ordered a raw salmon with salmon roe on rice, which was delicious and a good sized portion. I've never has Salmon roe and I loved the... read more

After reading various reports was excited to try it out.....had a Saturday night dinner with friends, service was slow even though it was not busy...... but staff are polite. Food is expensive for small portions.....ordered a special salad with dressing,,,turned out to be a poor mans coleslaw....hardly Japanese......Asakusa round the corner is better. We were told last orders about 10pm...when... More

Stumbled upon this place on a trip to London as wanted to visit somewhere independent among the never ending sea of chain restaurants. Try get a table upstairs and you'll be treated to an amazing dining experience you won't find at any chain. Gorgeous food, reasonable prices for London and lovely knowledgeable staff. Marvellous

What a hidden gem! Just off of Camden Highstreet is this fantastic Japanese restaurant. It is only small, but is very authentic with fantastic Japanese decorations all over the place. The menu has so many different items it hard to choose what to have, and they are all so reasonably priced! The food quality is amazing, the best sushi I... More

This is probably my new favourite Japanese restaurant in London! Great food at reasonable prices (this is London, after all, they could be a lot higher) in a nice friendly atmosphere. What was extra special for our unbooked birthday gathering was that we were seated in the special traditional Tatami room upstairs! The only thing I think that could be... More

An authentic little Japanese restaurant. Seems to be family ran. We go there regularly and the staff is.always charming and the food fresh and well prepared. They have an upstairs where you sit on the floor with your shoes off like in Japan. Tuna sashimi was the best I tried. Highly.recommended.

I first encountered Sushi Waka whilst living in Camden. The restaurant appears quite unassuming from the outside and inside the atmosphere is relaxed, warm with a strong traditional Japanese feel. The staff are welcoming and charming. The food is also absolutely delicious, authentic and great value for money. Despite having moved away from Camden some time ago I still make... More

Went here with a Japanese friend for dinner. Was invited upstairs as they were too packed downstairs (something I take as a good thing!). Upstairs turned out to be a Japanese style room where you take off your shoes and sit on the cushions with the short tables. I think it added to the evening as I felt like I... More

If you can get the little booth at the back you really feel you are in japan. Service is so polite and what you would expect. Everything from the miso soup to the sushi itself is first class and very reasonably priced. Mixed sushi plate is a great call for one person and team it up with a shaqred tempura... More

Neighborhood Profile
Camden
Famous for its sprawling cluster of markets and shops as well as for an embrace of all things counter culture, Camden offers a concentrated version of London street life. From bargain shopping and people watching to rubbing elbows in its abundance of pubs and bars, Camden is the place to be for many a Londoner. It is also home to some of the hottest live music venues in Europe. As packed as Camden High Street and its tributaries can get during the weekends, this neighborhood is right next to some of the city's most beloved outdoor spaces, namely Regent's Park and Primrose Hill.
