For some reason I keep thinking this place may return to its former glory. However after several return visits it is consistently poor. Non existent service, average food and poor layout. Why do I keep going back? Not anymore, this place has had my money for too long. Time to let go of the nostalgia and move on.

What an experience. Worst of any restaurant I've been too. Awful from entering. No one come to welcome us in, to ask us 8 to be seated. Staff need to learn to talk have a sense of humour !! No hello or nothing. Final bit as drinking glass fell into mouth & cut myself. Not one apology. Not one person... More

A group of 8 of us visited this place tonight as it was my nephews 18th birthday.First of all the welcome and service is the worst I have ever experienced,we ordered a round of drinks and as my brother started drinking he felt a sharp object go into his mouth which was a broken piece of glass, asked for the manager... We had a guest visiting from Turkey and decided on visiting The Abercorn. It was a terrible mistake and our guest fell ill as soon as we got home. The yoghurt felt like it had balls of cotton wool in it. The service was 3rd class and one of the dishes had clearly been taken out of the freezer and... More

When you get boiled carrots instead of gajar halwa, biriyani with uncooked rice and mango lassi with more water than yoghurt... And you tell the waiter about it. You would usually expect an apology and rectified order. However, in North west London, where you can stuff yourself with delicious food at Spice Rack, Sahara lounge or other places for £10-15... Visited this restaurant tonight and never met a ruder manager. Booked a table for 6pm tonight as was told they don't allow kids after 7.30. Arrived and firstly given a table in the noisy bar even though the restaurant was virtually empty. Asked to sit in the restaurant and the waiter had to ask the manager, even though there were... Imagine a local gem of a pub with history turned into a tacky modern restaurant over crammed with tables to maximise revenue, full of tacky velvet upholstery, badly designed seating, too many chairs, untrained service staff and up memorable overpriced grub you can find in the local weatherspoon! We have gone there twice - as we heard their menu was... More

This is a great indian restaurant. Not at all like a "curry house", the abercorn serves authentic indian foods such as street snack styles known as "chaat" as well as chilli paneer and crispy potato bhajia - both firm family favourites! I have been dining here with friends and family for years - a great alternative to the curry houses... More

Went there on a week night for dinner. Food was very very average, not worth the money(and it is expensive). Paneer had gone off. Food was delivered in about 7 mins which was Definetely not fresh.

Took Mother for Sunday lunch for her birthday. She (and we) loved it. Food was star quality as was the service. Best of all - Mother would like to return next week. If Mother is happy - so are we. Thoroughly recommended.
