Engagement Party Venue

Could have been magical but fell just short. Loved all the candles. Food was really good but not very much. Area which was supposed to be reserved for party guests was not roped off so other people were seated in the party. Each of my four Long Island iced teas tasted differently. They ran out... read more

Visited on a Friday night in January, although it certainly was cold it wasn’t busy for cocktail hour (5-7pm). I booked a table in advance and the venue is located in the basement of Davy’s Wine Vault which is close to the station. The venue has a medieval ambience and was very relaxing. It was warm and cosy and had... More

This pub has great atmosphere and a top class selection of ales and wines. Finding a pub that sells ale in tankards is increasingly difficult so the cooperage is a real find and treasure. Great for. A quick / long beer in the evening as right next to London bridge station.

I eat lunch regularly here as well as the regular drink in the evening. Staff are friendly, food is very good, and it usually has a warm and friendly atmosphere. A regular haunt for sure.

I went to The Cooperage last week for a drink with some friends and was pleasantly surprised. Although the pub looks a little dark from outside, it was actually very pleasant inside and had a nice atmosphere. There are a number of pubs around London Bridge that I have been to, and they are usually incredibly busy of an evening... More

Popped into cooperidge for a swift pint as early for our slot at London dungeon next door! Lovely, friendly and welcoming staff. Went back after time in dungeon for a bite to eat! Great pub grub burger with service quick and friendly!

Came across the Cooperage accidently when we got off the tube at London Bridge. Cosy, with a great atmosphere, just what we needed for a break from a rainy London lunchtime. Great value menu - i ordered the Pork pie bar snack (quite enough for a light lunch), with salad garnish and bread, my husband had the steak baguette with... More

This is OK for a drink and/or snack, but at a price. Standard stuff, but, like so many such places, poor value.

We visited this pub on a Friday night. Quite busy with very drunk people staggering about into each other. Staff rude and surly, maybe due to the standard of clientelle they are used to dealing with.

We (6of us) went into the Cooperage at 10.30pm as part of a 70th birthday party. We were abruptly spoken too by the member of staff when we ordered the drinks and we were rudely informed that they closed in half an hour and were reluctant to sell us a bottle of wine. Overall this certain staff member was impolite... More

Staying in Greenwich

Neighborhood Profile
Greenwich
Greenwich Mean Time starts here, so to speak, as the very concept of global time was established at Royal Observatory, just one of several buildings of architectural interest in Greenwich. Indeed, the whole of Greenwich's historic town center, its Royal Park and a number of related buildings (and one world famous ship, the Cutty Sark) make up the UNESCO World Heritage site known as Maritime Greenwich. Today a laser beam is shot out across the night sky from the Observatory to mark the location of the Prime Meridian. Other bold (some say brash) 21st century additions to the area include landmarks such as The O2 entertainment complex (previously known as the Millennium Dome) and the Air Line cable cars, which offer scenic transport across the Thames between North Greenwich and the Royal Docks.
