We visited with family and had to wait for a table. They text you to tell you it's ready which is good as you can go off into carnaby street and look around whilst waiting. Although this is a family restaurant with children's menus the restaurant is very loud and has some horrible loud music on which was not what... More

I am sad to say that although the food is generally very good, the service generally lets the side down. I have visited on many different days, mornings, afternoons, evenings, week days and weekends. In some restaurants you find if you visit on a certain day or time, service is sometimes not up to speed, which can sometimes be understandable,... More

The cheeseburgers at this restaurant are great and so is the music selection. The whole restaurant has an American theme that is well done and they serve excellent bloody mary's. I do agree about the service it is a ittle bit slack and hipsterish.

I recently went to The Diner with my husband, sister and niece. We went on a Friday night and were amazed how busy the place was (because normally it's half empty whenever we walk past). The greeter asked us if we had booked and we tried not to laugh. We got shown to a table near the serving hatch as... More

Ordered takeaway a few times while staying with some friends just down the road. Great start to our Friday night when we had all finished work - chilli cheese fries - amazing. I'd definitely go for another Diner-Dog or a chilli burger. Saturday afternoon hangover called for more american food, and the Root Beer Float was fantastic - haven't had... More

Milkshakes, big greasy burgers, over-easy eggs, bottomless coffe ... a real taste of an American Diner. I had a fantastic medium rare burger with a fried egg and guacamole, skinny chips and a Coke. One of the best burgers I've ever had. I had sauce dripping off my elbows by the time I had finished it.

My children were keen to go to the Diner as they were told by a friend. The setting is classic and was looking forward to it. It was a disaster. The place is filthy, the service appalling (one of the staff had his trousers half way down his bottom and would bend in front of our table) and the food... More

The staff is indeed helpful and super nice, and the place has a nice American vibe, but it is way too expensive for what they offer: I had a burger which was over 10 pounds. It was actually quite good but you can find much cheaper and better food somewhere else.

Was quite excited to go to the Diner as website made it look great. Unfortunately it was a nice place to have a bite but although the menu looks fabulous and the restaurant decor is good, the theme is not totally followed through. The music could add to the ambiance but is a hotch potch of cool music but not... More

Definitely not as good as the real thing in the US! But it scratched our itch for eggs/bacon/pancakes we've been missing. Loved the free refills on coffee. Fun environment. A bit overpriced.
