Booked mother's day dinner at the Rubens carvery. Firstly taken over 2 days to confirm my booking due to incompetent staff. When we arrived at 6pm restaurant was more than half empty. Dressed crab was on the menu for starters but was all gone and not being replaced anymore. Rest of starters were stale and tasteless. Also poor selection for... More

Hi Guys, had dinner in Rubins which was fine, staff very good. The only issue I have is the price of a Pint! and at £6.50p a pint and £4 a half, I thought they were pushing it a bit, and taking the P. Perhaps they need to go round the cornor to Wetherspoons, to price check the local Ales... More

We went originally as part of a meal deal with tickets to see Wicked. However we enjoyed it so much that we booked it independently when we went to see another show. The food is excellent and the choice on the carvery is excellent - every vegetable you could image too. They cater for vegetarians and fish lovers as well.... More

Excellent food. Only two roasts to choose from but fish and vegetarian options available. Wide range of vegetables all nicely cooked. Staff friendly and helpful even carrying plate from carvery to table.

We had dinner at the Old Masters carvery as part of a theatre package. The food was average (prawn cocktail and pate starters, roast for main) but the service was extremely friendly and helpful - the waitress, the doorman and even the guy carving the meat were exceptionally polite! Although the food was nothing special, the restaurant and decor are... More

Thank you for taking the time to post your review of The Old Masters Carvery. I was delighted to read that overall you found my staff to be very friendly and polite. However, I was concerned to learn that you found the dinner buffet rather expensive. We do regularly conduct surveys with regards to our pricing structure and have always... More

We visited the Old Masters carvery as part of a theatre package with Wicked. We visited with my two young sons and I was initially concerned that the environment was perhaps not entirely child friendly and a tad formal. The staff were attentive, polite and incredibly welcoming. The service, although quite formal was utterly charming and quintessentially English, The food... More

Neighborhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
