I have been here more than once and although the food is pricey it is fantastic food and worth every penny!

We went as a party of four, for a business lunch. It was my first time at Boisdale's and I look forward to returning again when I'm in the city. The meals were excellent as was the service, the menu is extensive with a few rarer dishes that are not served everywhere. People seem obsessed with the steak it looked... More

Went there one evening after work with the wife. The barperson was very attentive and professional and made a great gin and tonic. Went to the restaurant which was a little dark , but was not put off by this, as I can imagine when the band is playing adds to the atmosphere. Food was great and service excellent and... More

It is what it is. Okay steaks and service. Pricey - but as most people are eating on expenses you can see why. Service okay but jazz piano is very load - suggest you don't sit too near it if you want to chat!

Went to Boisdale one evening with friends. Food to die for. Who would have thought that steak and lobster are such a fantastic combination. Service is professional yet very accommodating. There's also a piano player who is very good, quietly and beautifully entertaining the diners. Will most certainly go again. Suitable for couples, meeting friends and not too formal business... More

We ate here with friends visiting from overseas. We are Londoners and wanted a good choice with decent service (not always the case). We were not disappointed. The restaurant is tucked away but if you consult a map before you go it is quite obvious where it is located (next to Liverpool Street) We were early and had a drink... More

Ignore all the downsides - incredibly rude bar staff upstairs, shabby décor, poor restaurant layout - and focus instead on the wonderful food. No one in this part of town does steak as well. My rare rump steak was perfectly cooked (and, at 18 pounds, a bargain for the City). The waiting staff were friendly and attentive. If you're down... More

Restaurant difficult to find, down an alleyway. Decor looked like it needed updating. The oyster bar is on the ground floor and the restaurant downstairs. The music was played from a piano, it wasnt my choice of music but some clapped occasionally. The waiter was knowledgeable and very helpful in helping us with our choice of wine and food. The... Chose this restaurant because of the live music offered, so not over impressed at being sat in a far corner of the restaurant with no view of the musicians and music piped through speaker. The waiter was charming and extremely attentive but gave quite a few selections no longer available and the wine we chose disappointingly also not available. Fish... More

I found this restaurant to be a charming and authentic gem hidden in the heart of the city and I found nothing out of place. The steak and wine were excellent along with the ambiance of the place, I particularly enjoyed listening to the piano being played. Don't forget to reserve a table and to look up the location as...
