Went to this place for the first time and was genuinely impressed. The service is brilliantly, they can't do enough for you without being overbearing. Three of us had steak (different cuts) one had lobster. All were cooked to perfection and tasted amazing! The wine list is decent and not pretentious. Loved the live jazz. And I'm not normally a... Boisdale of Bishopsgate's entrance is in what feels like a Dickensian blind alley, which dramatically leads to a restaurant which has an old world city club feel to it. A piano and double bass are set by the front door so I assume there is live music on occasion. Not at lunch though. The service was attentive (somewhat overly so... More

Faultless ! The food was divine and service outstanding. Perhaps the wine (and port) were a little bit pricey but totally forgiven given the total experience. We visited on a Saturday night as a party of 5 males and as the city is less busy at the weekend had no trouble getting a table. There was Jazz Musician playing that... More

The restaurant itself is down a strange little lane next to Dirty Dick's opposite Liverpool Street station, and is downstairs. Sometimes with places like that you get a sense of it being a bit damp/stale, but lovely surroundings. Very cosy, loved the theme/atmosphere. Went for two course lunch with a business acquintance. Quite a short menu, mainly steaks and seafood.... More

Really relaxed bar with great friendly staff, serving warming/meaty/hearty food that would definitely quench anyone's hunger. Bar menu reasonably priced but restaurant menu pushing more to high end costs. (Visit - 20/10/2014 Dinner Service)

Very much a steak place and most of our lunch party of 5 tucked in to excellent meat. Don't be afraid to go for something else though - I had the cod which was small but excellent. Also had haggis to start which was also wonderful Quite easy to spend a fortune topping up with sides and would echo the... More

Hidden down a Bishopsgate alley next to Dirty Dicks Bar just opposite London Liverpool Street Station, you'll be very pleasantly surprised when you find Boisdale. You are met by a very friendly and courteous lady on reception where you can check in your coats and then escort you to your table. With both upstairs and downstairs dining areas, the decor... More

Great venue and very enjoyable food. The menu is not massive but offers a good assortment of food.the service was both friendly and professional. Overall an excellent evening and highly recommended (although you will need to book as it is always busy).

Went there after a team dinner for a few drinks. The service was shoddy. It's almost as if they didn't want to serve us at all. We were dressed well, and not drunk at all. In the end the waiter refused to serve us citing that it was upto the manager. We called the manager and he said it was... More
