Enjoyed the food

We called in here for a pre theatre meal which was very good. Very tasty. Clean restaurant. Decor nice . The service very good. It seems very popular because as we left the restaurant was pretty full.

So I am in London for the night and where do I go to eat? Why Bistro 1 of course. I have been here lots but am relatively new to the Frith Street branch. What a freindly bunch. They always make you feel welcome and are good at fitting in the single diner. The food was excellent aa ever and... More

Had a pre theatre meal here. We had spotted another restaurant from the chain at Coven Garden and the menu looked really nice. So we popped in for a quick bite on a warm summers evening. Perfect place to go, with a "fully air conditioned" sign in the window. The air conditioning was off, so the tightly packed seats and... More

I have just had breakfast here and for £4.90 you can't go wrong. The portions are good and the Eggs Royale (toasted muffin, poached eggs, hollandaise sauce and loads of smoked salmon) was absolutely delicious. The staff are polite and helpful, the toilets are clean. If you aren't expecting luxury dining and you just want an easy breakfast with your... More

Bottom line is that you get great well prepared food in the heart of Soho for not too much money. Fresh, simple and tasty, I'll definitely come again

We have mixed feelings about this restaurant. For sure the décor is simple with some real nice touches such as the lighting whilst the value cannot be questioned for Central London. However, with the benefit of hindsight everything else was a bit of a mixed bag, The 3 starters were super whilst both the Salmon & vegetarian 'Moussaka' mains were... More

Well, I don't proclaim myself to be an expert on whatever kind of food was being served there. But this meal was a complete disaster (All 3 of us in the group, shared the same opinion). We were starving and arrived here, not knowing what to expect. We went with the 2 course set meal. Each of those courses, outdid... More

We booked this for a pre-theatre meal, chosen more for availability and location than anything else. From the name you might expect French cooking, but it was some sort of Greek/Turkish/English fusion. For central London the price was quite reasonable, and the food was OK - edible, tasty, but not something you would make a note to have again. Good... More

Staying in Soho

Neighborhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
