Bistro 1 is vibrant, unpretentious and great value for money right in the heart of Soho. The food is tasty and the portion sizes reasonable: with three courses for £13.90 (two for £11.90) it is hard to find fault with this eatery. Highly recommended for a pre-theatre meal or after a long day of shopping to relax in a casual... More

I am a frequent diner here because they make me feel so welcome & the food is great. It's in a prime location just behind the Palace Theatre side of Soho. I'm comfortable solo here. I bring out of town visitors here who can't believe the prices which are practically unbeatable: £8.50 for 2 course lunch, £11.90 for dinner. Limited... More

We had a very delicious two course meal prior to going to the theatre on August 5, 2014. The food was excellent and the service even better. Our waiter attended to all of the details, and was most helpful in assisting my wife in choosing a gluten free dish. The manager came over and spoke to us wanting to know... More

I had some time to kill so I decided to find a quiet place in soho to eat and write on my journal. Found this place by just walking around. The menu on the door looked good and the inside looked quite sombre so I decided to walk in. The service is great and quick. I received my starter working... More

Very nice 2 course dinner for £11.90. The mixed veggie mezze was excellent, the other starters a bit simple with lettuce and cheese or lettuce and Turkish sausage. Both the veggie and the meat moussaka main course were very nice with rice and salad. The house wine was pretty good and not too expensive. Excellent service and well worth the... More

Good food and service. No frills. You get 2 or 3 courses (starter, main, dessert). We had dinner here before seeing Miss Saigon down the block.

Bistro 1 at Frith Street is clean and well decorated. The layout inside is nice. We ordered off the lunchtime specials menu. 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 drinks each for £25. Service was really quick. Food was hot and very well presented. We both enjoyed it there. Will be back next time we are in London.

We visited this little restaurant on A saturday lunchtime for lunch before going to the theater. I found it quite by chance last year with a friend and returned with my Son. The food is very good value 3 courses for £9.90 and is very tasty. I had grilled sardines followed by lamb shish and banoffe pie, all nicely presented... More

We went here for a post theatre meal after reading some of the reviews on here and we were not disappointed. The meal was tasty, excellent value, hot and served in a timely fashion. We had the mixed mezza and smoked salmon starters and we both chose the mixed kebabs with rice and salad. The meat was tender well cooked... More
