We booked this for a pre-theatre meal, chosen more for availability and location than anything else. From the name you might expect French cooking, but it was some sort of Greek/Turkish/English fusion. For central London the price was quite reasonable, and the food was OK - edible, tasty, but not something you would make a note to have again. Good... More

This was recommended to us for lunch by a friend and while I'm usually sceptical of menus that are full, varied and cheap I did not need to worry. 3 of us all chose very diverse meals (starters and main course), I had spicy Turkish sausage for starter, followed by homemade fish cakes. Both well cooked and generous portions for... More

Ate here last night with a friend for the first time, although we had eaten before at the restaurant they used to have in Beak Street (now closed). The menu was varied, with good choices, and the service was very good...as was the atmosphere. The food we both ordered was both good and good value, and we enjoyed our evening.... More

around the corner from theatres. nice welcome - had booked online but earlier than booked though shown straight to table. fresh bread and olives on table while we chose 2 courses for £9.90 each. extensive menu. chose spicy chicken skewers which were delicious; then chicken arrabiatta/homemade fish cakes which were both fab.. too stuffed to have pudding which again looked... We have dined at this restaurant for years and it is as good now as it was the first time that we went there. Really good food, reasonably priced wines and drinks and excellent service. Well worth a visit.

We had a pre-theatre meal here and thought the food and atmosphere were both very good. The restaurant was very busy but the staff coped very well with the number of guests and the service was excellent. Considering the location, it is very good value as well....2 courses for about £15.

Visited on a Thursday early evening. My sister had fish which she said was very nice, however the only vegetarian choices were pasta or 'pancake filled with spinach, mushroom and goats cheese.. Not wanting pasta yet again when I ate out I chose the pancake. However it was tasteless and unappetising, in fact probably one of the worst meals I... More

Staying in Soho

Neighborhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
