Nice lunch

Good value for money, friendly welcome and good fast service. The moussaka is with courgettes not aubergines - surely it was on the menu but I went blindly!

Once again a super visit to a Bistro 1 restaurant. This is the 2nd Bistro 1 restaurant we have visited over many years and once again..... the food, welcome, wine, service and ambiance were superb and the cost is fantastic. We love these restaurants, we were disappointed to find our usual haunt closed but were very happy to relocate to... More

Cheap-yes, friendly staff-yes, otherwise terrible. We have reserved a table via Open Table, but they were not at all interested. Nor was there a table reserved for us. Luckily there was a place for us. I think we were the only ones who had reserved. And the food: very simple and not good. I had Beef Bourgignon and it was,... More

Surprised to read that Bistro 1 is, in fact, a Turkish restaurant. My beef bourguignon suggested otherwise. In any case, adventurism is no problem for me. What was problematic, however, was the poor quality of the food: slop reminiscent of school dinners. Starter of calamari was barely better, served with an uninspiring salad and coated in batter that totally failed... More

Bistro 1, Frith Street still offer you good value for money. A two course lunch will only set you back £9.90 and you'll get substantial portions and the food is really tasty. They even give you bread and olives for free! Well worth a visit.

Booked a table for 6 people on the New Years menu which was three courses and a glass of prosecco for £22.90 per head- amazing price!! We arrived on time but had to wait a short time for the table as they were obviously busy but we didn't mind at all. The choice of food was also vast and catered... More

This was nice for what we were there for a quick pre theatre meal. Very good 3 course deal and good service. I have to give it a 3 purely on the fact that the food was ok. Unfortunately being served frozen vegetables is just a no for me. Stick to pasta and pizza and I'm sure you will be... More

Lovely fresh food. The lamb and the chicken were so tasty and came with fresh bread and olives - delicious! Service fast and efficient. Mehmet made us very welcome. Prices very, very acceptable. The 3 course meal is a bargain. We went two nights on the run and will definitely be going back there again.

I visited with a friend and we chose from the set menu. There were so many options available and for a great price I thought the food would be okay but it was all so nice. I had salmon to start and a mixed kebab for my main which was divine. I will definitely be back here again .

Staying in Soho

Neighborhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighborhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
