We visited Bistro 1 in Beak Street for the first time yesterday evening. Our friends had been there before and said it was good for a no nonsense (and cheap) meal. We had no great expectations but were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and excellent service. For a starter I tried the spicy Turkish sausage which was... More

We had intended to eat in the nearby Old Coffee House (see my previous reviews) but as the place was packed due to a football match, we had to look for a nearby alternative. Bistro 1 proved to be a very good choice and it goes without saying we will be back soon. We tend to avoid tourist hotspots and... More

Chose this restaurant after reading the generally positive reviews. Staff were nice but can not recommend the food.Really disappointing.

I recently paid a return visit to Bistro1 Beak Street. My starter, Deep-fried Spicy Chicken on Skewers was delicious. My main Dish Pancake filled with Goat’s Cheese & Creamed Spinach, was flavoursome and a new Dish for me. Olives and Bread were complementary making excellent value, the Bill was under £10 including a Glass of Water. Bistro1 is easy to... More

3 friends and myself visited Bistro 1 last Saturday night after I had looked online for nearest restaurant to the Adelphi Theatre and checked the reviews on Tripadvisor. I booked through Top Table and selected the two course meal with a glass of wine for £11.99, we booked a 5.30 time slot. I can honestly say that it was one... More

We had a good time at this cosy, friendly small restaurant in Soho and near to Piccadilly. Was met with a warm welcome and although the room is small you still feel you have your on space without anyone else impinging on your conversations. The £11.90 including a glass of wine menu was varied enough and with meat, fish, seafood... More

A nice little traditional bistro with a set menu that's great value at £11.90. Service, atmosphere and drinks prices all fine. I'll certainly go back.

I booked this restaurant because it had availability and was near the palladium where the great dame was playing. The food was prepared quickly and the staff friendly. It was fine for £11.00. The bread was fresh and the meat well cooked. It is a bit of a mish mish menu, but it is a good pre theatre meal with... More

I went today alone and the food was not that good as I expected and the staff was not that attentive as I am used in London waiting service, the worst, the waiter kept my change on his own decision..I hope he will enjoy the 30 pennies!

Booked online 40 mins before arriving, which was excellent. Toptable deal gave us the usual 2 courses for £11.90 plus a glass of house wine each. Good atmosphere due to lighting, quite a cramped place, toilets smelt as if drains are clogged up, decent service, a little slow getting the bill, food tasted average, provided bread and butter to start...
