Cafe Montpeliano, in Knightsbridge Near Harrods

Conveniently located on a side street just across from Harrods, Montepoliano is a nice Italian restaurant with good food and excellent service. It was festively decorated for Christmas with evergreens on the ceiling. For lunch my husband had the lamb special and I had the spaghetti vongole. Both were very good. For dessert, we had the Tiramisu and the profiteroles…... More

Had evening dinner here at 6ish on a Saturday. Very quiet. Didn't have starter as they gave you lots of bread and olives which were very nice. Had risotto and pasta with lobster which when I have had before the lobster comes in the shell but not here which was a but disappointed with as it was £25. Tiramsui great... More

My wife and I went here for the first time a week ago and found it better than any of the other restaurants we have been to in this area of London and one of the best restaurants we have been to this year. We stay in this area of London 3 or 4 times a year, so we have... More

An American friend from Virginia was in London recently and after we had been to a private viewing and cocktail party at Bonhams auction house (which is virtually next door) he suggested we have dinner at this restaurant. I had never eaten here before. What a pleasant surprise it was! The welcome was warm. The service was excellent and attentive... More

Great Italian food and service. Particularly nice on a summers day when they open the large roof light (back half of the restaurant).

We have eaten in this restaurant twice and the food, service and ambiance are absolutely fabulous. We will definitely return when we next visit London.

This used to be the place to go to for outstanding Italian food and charming service. Now it is just an overpriced joint which has somewhat lost the plot as the clientele has changed so much to take into account the new owners of property in Knightsbridge. Check out their website and the last recipe was posted in 2010, who... More

Staying in Knightsbridge

Neighborhood Profile
Knightsbridge
When millions of tourists want to shop 'til they drop, they do it along Brompton Road and its boutique-lined tributaries, including the world-renowned Harrods. And when millionaires want to flaunt what they've already got, many of them find Knightsbridge and Belgravia the perfect place to do so, often behind stately mansion walls or down quiet private mews. Delve beyond the ultra-luxe exterior and you'll find some of this city's cosiest pubs, quiet gardens, and all sorts of indie retailers and enterprises worth a short exercise in spontaneous window shopping. For those looking to take a break from shopping, Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, and some of the city's most popular museums are nearby.
