Lovely View

Service is a bit hit and miss (staff forgot our nibbles order), they had run out of 2 of the white wines (there are only 7 on the menu) and you have to queue to get in, but overall a nice place to have a drink on a sunny evening while looking out over London.

Really impressed with this place. Stayed from 1PM until 8PM with friends lolling on the roof it was just lovely. The service was great especially from Leo. Food also brill. I had the monkfish and my friend had the lamb. The only and very small downside was not having my expresso martini in a proper martini glass but I am... More

Very pleasant staff and comfortable, but so disappointing. Staff seemed to be wandering around aimlessly trying to avoid the diners. Food and drink expensive and not the quality we were expecting. The cassoulet was bland and boring. When I asked for Jersey Royal potatoes, I was advised to have the dauphinois, which was soupy. Cheese board was very good, but... More

Nice setting on a sunny day. Lunch was nice, but I would pay the prices for the location and setting not for the food. Good service.

I would never have known about this place if it were not for my friends recommendation. It was a hot sunny day and we wanted a roof terrace setting so chose here. The first impression we got from the staff in the reception area was not good. We were spoken down to and told to wait outside. She eventually came... More

Hopes were raised by the MI5 style hoops I had to jump through to book a table on the warmest day of the year so far. Hopes remained high on arrival downstairs where we were greeted by a maitre de, a smiling lady who was expecting us, and a Chef who seemed intent on overseing our entry into the lift.... More

Disappointing … Substandard offer ‘dressed up’ as trendy new Shoreditch. The place is on the expressive side (particularly for the area) but has very amateurish feel about it. Many staff, seemingly eager to help but have no clue as to what they should be doing , lots are simply standing around creating a collective ‘first day on the job’ impression.... More

We came here for a special occasion and were not disappointed. The staff were so attentive and made you feel really welcome. The food was of an excellent standard....I can highly recommend the lobster Thermidor. I would recommend this place if you're after somewhere to come for a treat or special occasion. You get what you pay for & don't... More

We dined in the basement. The restaurant was buzzy, but sadly did not deliver food that wowed us, lacked seasoning, and was extremely expensive. Promised much but didn't live up to expectations or the cost!

My teenage daughter and I went to the Boundary rooftop for dinner. They do not take reservations, but if you go early enough there were plenty of seats available, even on a beautiful, warm(ish) evening. We found the food delicious and the service was great! Very friendly, attentive, and helpful. It is really suitable for couples (although you may end... More

Staying in Shoreditch

Neighborhood Profile
Shoreditch
The western front of the edgy East End, Shoreditch is a perennially trendy haven for anything “street” – be it art, food, or fashion. With its handful of well connected transportation links dotting its perimeter, along with an ever increasing variety of shops, hotels, bars, and restaurants, it's easy to explore this trend-conscious and youth-oriented neighborhood. There's a lingering post-industrial grit about Shoreditch, but because it shares a border with “The City” financial district, the influence from its upscale neighbor can result in fascinating outcomes.
