Description: Opened in September 2009, Apsleys, a Heinz Beck Restaurant is the first...
Opened in September 2009, Apsleys, a Heinz Beck Restaurant is the first restaurant outside Italy created by internationally renowned chef, Heinz Beck, holder of three Michelin stars at La Pergola in Rome. Heinz Beck soon earned the restaurant its own Michelin Star, when in February 2010 it became the fastest London establishment to be bestowed with the award and maintained this award onwards. Apsleys? stunning Venetian-style dining room, with its glass roof and plush upholstery, is one of the most beautiful spaces for dining in London, an elegant setting for any occasion. Overseen by Beck and run by Executive Chef Heros De Agostinis, who used to work with Heinz Beck in Rome. Beck has created a menu that focuses on lighter Mediterranean-inspired dishes and is concerned with keeping dishes healthy and as approachable as they are exciting. Signature dishes include the magnificent Carbonara Fagotelli of melt-in-the-mouth pasta parcels. At lunchtime, Apsleys' 'Menu del Giorno' is a popular choice, while Beck's seven course tasting menu is ideal for celebratory dinners. The wine list has enormous depth and includes some of the rarest vintages in the world. Apsleys, a Heinz Beck Restaurant is located on the ground floor of The Lanesborough in the heart of Knightsbridge, the restaurant has two semi-private dining rooms available for larger parties.

Beautiful

A beautiful place. Quiet, elegent and never fails to please. Authentic Italian food. Deserves the praises. Although, the staff could do with a little more training as they lack knowledge about the menu, though certainly attentive and polite.

My wife and I have visited this delightful Venetian-style dining room at The Lanesborough hotel many times. Apsleys offer a great menu offering lighter Mediterranean inspired dishes such as sea bass cannolo and potato gnocchi with shellfish broth.

What’s a trip to London without afternoon Tea? A sin, that’s what! In our quest for afternoon teas, we soon realized this was quite an event; there are a couple premier establishments that have top ratings, which are virtually impossible to get into. We tried three months in advance to get into a couple of them, for the day that... More

Well, the room is beautiful and impressive and the ceiling windows makes the room special and intimate. The service is courteous and formal but also a bit overconfident: its too much at the end, i do not want formal service anymore. The food gave me the same feeling: too complicated and overconfident. The simpler the better?

Firstly, I understand that this is 'fine dining' and about the 'experience.' There were some positives - the decor is beautiful and the service is excellent. However the food was awful, tasteless and bland. For the price you pay, it definitely does not return any value.

My husband and I very much enjoyed tea at Apsleys in early December. As it was the Christmas season, a few adjustments to include traditional Christmas tea and fruitcakes were made. The room is lovely and tables have enough room around them to give the illusion of privacy. The pianist was accomplished, the music soothing. We very much enjoyed the... More

Staying in Belgravia

Neighborhood Profile
Belgravia
Home to the vast majority of embassies and diplomatic residences in London, sophisticated and upscale Belgravia also boasts a wealth of luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, and some of the city’s most stroll worthy lanes. While the prices here are high, taking a leisurely stroll through the streets of picturesque and elegant white stucco houses is free. Hyde Park and the Buckingham Palace Gardens are only a stone's throw away to the north, and some of Europe’s best shopping is nearby as well.
