Description: Opened in September 2009, Apsleys, a Heinz Beck Restaurant is the first restaurant outside Italy created by internationally renowned chef, Heinz Beck, holder of three Michelin stars at La Pergola in Rome. Heinz Beck soon earned the restaurant its own Michelin Star, when in February 2010 it became the fastest London establishment to be bestowed with the award and maintained this award onwards. Apsleys? stunning Venetian-style dining room, with its glass roof and plush upholstery, is one of the most beautiful spaces for dining in London, an elegant setting for any occasion. Overseen by Beck and run by Executive Chef Heros De Agostinis, who used to work with Heinz Beck in Rome. Beck has created a menu that focuses on lighter Mediterranean-inspired dishes and is concerned with keeping dishes healthy and as approachable as they are exciting. Signature dishes include the magnificent Carbonara Fagotelli of melt-in-the-mouth pasta parcels. At lunchtime, Apsleys' 'Menu del Giorno' is a popular choice, while Beck's seven course tasting menu is ideal for celebratory dinners. The wine list has enormous depth and includes some of the rarest vintages in the world. Apsleys, a Heinz Beck Restaurant is located on the ground floor of The Lanesborough in the heart of Knightsbridge, the restaurant has two semi-private dining rooms available for larger parties.

What’s a trip to London without afternoon Tea? A sin, that’s what! In our quest for afternoon teas, we soon realized this was quite an event; there are a couple premier establishments that have top ratings, which are virtually impossible to get into. We tried three months in advance to get into a couple of them, for the day that... More

I highly recommend afternoon tea at Apsleys - the setting is divine and the afternoon tea is truly delicious, a real treat.

Well, the room is beautiful and impressive and the ceiling windows makes the room special and intimate. The service is courteous and formal but also a bit overconfident: its too much at the end, i do not want formal service anymore. The food gave me the same feeling: too complicated and overconfident. The simpler the better?

Firstly, I understand that this is 'fine dining' and about the 'experience.' There were some positives - the decor is beautiful and the service is excellent. However the food was awful, tasteless and bland. For the price you pay, it definitely does not return any value.

My husband and I very much enjoyed tea at Apsleys in early December. As it was the Christmas season, a few adjustments to include traditional Christmas tea and fruitcakes were made. The room is lovely and tables have enough room around them to give the illusion of privacy. The pianist was accomplished, the music soothing. We very much enjoyed the... More

The first time I visited Apsley's was for afternoon tea and we came as a group. Found the restaurant stunning and thought may be worth visiting for a special occasion. About a week ago, I read that it was going to be closed for reburbishment and I thought it may be best to pay a visit before it does. My... More

Had our anniversary dinner there. Fantastic ambiance and very good food and service. We had the full tasting menu. The (pre and main) desserts were particularly good. The food came out at a rapid pace to begin but slowed down after we suggested to the waiter to adjust the pace. Will be missing it for the 9 months the Lanesborough... More

For the dress code their website suggested "jacket preferred" however some people were far more casual. As this is such a glamorous hotel/restaurant it is a shame they don't make it compulsory like many other places. We intentionally arrived early so we could have a drink at the library bar and were immediately offered a seat. A huge range of... More
