Excellent food, large portions

Dropped in for a quick bite expecting the usual Youngs fayre.... we were surprised, pleasantly so - I had the pistachio cod and the other half had the pork belly. Both were superb. We ate in the restaurant I should add, the bar feels a bit "sports" bar in its appearance but the restaurant was

We met friends there for a Sunday roast. Service was OK but the staff were a little confused - twice we were asked the same question by different staff. 2 roasts were ordered - the pork was good but he beef not so great. The prices are a little above the norm for Sunday roasts but are nothing more than... More

What a super place to veg out and enjoy a delicious meal. In the afternoon it was quite hot again. We took the underground to Putney Bridge and made our way along the shady Thames Walk to The Duke's Head Pub, a Victoria Grade 11 listed pub, for a super meal which was nothing like a 'normal' pub meal. It... More

Went here mid week with a friend. Enjoyed the terrace view of the river, the pub had charm and was a grade II listed building. Service was fine but the place was quiet so no real pressure. Both ordered the Burger & Chips. Chips were good but the burger seemed quite oily.

Went here for supper with freinds. Great looking pub - great view of river from our table but... service was awful! They took out order promptly but the food .. took .. an...age ... and was a bit on the cool side when it arrived. When the wine arrived (pinot noir) a waiter brought it to the table and said... We visited this restaurant for the first time with family on a Saturday night. We had booked a table in advance which I'd recommend. We were promptly served and given the menus - it took us a while to choose (partly due to the group chatting) but we weren't rushed into making our decisions. The range on the menu was... More

Went to the pub on a Sunday afternoon and had booked a table which is the norm nowadays. Staff were good at first, and acknowledged the booking swiftly. After that though the service was slow and we had to go up to the till to pay at the end after no one came up to us after desserts for 10... More

This place rests on the fact it has fantastic river views. Thats it. Average beer. Okay wine. Basic food. Dreadful service. Expensive. I stopped going. Not even for a glass of wine.

With river views, fantastic great big windows with blinds I would give my right arm for, fireplaces, wall lights, mirrors, lots of candles and stunning decor in duck egg and white, this place feels just wonderful inside. The food was good and we found the waiting staff to be friendly, helpful and efficient. I had rustic little cheese and onion... More

I returned to the Dukes Head yesterday after being offered a £40 voucher due to my first bad experience. First time we went, we ordered a £60 bottle of Champagne as my mum was visiting from Dubai - the waitress brought it out, dumped it on the table and walked off. We asked for an ice bucket and they just... More
