Great for groups

I dined here with 10 friends and it was a lovely atmosphere - mixture of groups like ourselves and families. Setting is amazing and overlooks the Thames. Can't wait to try it in the summer. The food was delicious and the menu that isn't a Sunday Roast was good also. The puddings are truly... read more

Had an evening meal here while walking the riverside area. The beer selection was good and the beer was good. The fruit flies constantly bombarding us during the dead of winter were disconcerting in the pub area. The duck was dry and tasteless bt the bean base was actually quite good. The flies put us off ordering anything else. The... More

Pleasant pit stop by the river in historic building - large London pub rooms - windows overlooking the river. Youngs beers Large dining room modern british food - rib eye, fish and chips, pork belly and lentils, duck and cannellini beans, roast chicken for two etc Pleasant but slightly confused staff

We had the Christmas menu with a group of friends - what wasn't undercooked was flavourless and dry. Used to be a decent pub, gone downhill over the past year

We just popped in on the off chance and found excellent service, very nice food, the cheese soufflé and lovely salad was super as was the not so humble burger, nice wine, good beer and a pudding to die for. What's not to love. We will be back. Thank you

When my wife says she fancy's a Sunday roast dinner, that's what she gets. Came across The Duke's Head while in Putney on a Sunday. We were lucky to get a table because we had not booked. Had a drink in bar which was also very nice before eating. My wife had the beef and I had the chicken. Good... More

It's not often you see a mouse scurrying across a restaurant floor, but one did yesterday evening. When we pointed this out to the staff, they couldn't have been less interested, as though it were a normal occurrence. Maybe it is. The people at the next table joked about how well-fed the mouse seemed, but if so, it won't be... More

Dropped in for a quick bite expecting the usual Youngs fayre.... we were surprised, pleasantly so - I had the pistachio cod and the other half had the pork belly. Both were superb. We ate in the restaurant I should add, the bar feels a bit "sports" bar in its appearance but the restaurant was

We met friends there for a Sunday roast. Service was OK but the staff were a little confused - twice we were asked the same question by different staff. 2 roasts were ordered - the pork was good but he beef not so great. The prices are a little above the norm for Sunday roasts but are nothing more than... More
