Description: Bengal Cuisine is run by Mr. Kazi and Mrs Kazi. They are both from Bengal. The colorful varied history of the Bengal region is reflected in its diverse khana, Fish is the national dish so it is perhaps no surprise that it is the Fish Tikka curry dish that won Mrs Kazi her the London Borough of Tower Hamlets Curry Chef of the year Award.

This restaurant is sort of amazing for its incredible value. For £9.95 in the evening, you get a starter, main dish, rice, naan and two drinks. Seriously. And the food is good - the naan and rice especially, my peshwari naan and mushroom pilau rice were delicious. I had samosas for a starter and a prawn curry for the main,... More

This is one of the best Lamb Madras dishes I have ever tasted! The spice blend is just right with a truly wonderful taste. The naan bread came piping hot with melted honey on the top whilst the rice was excellent. This restaurant has big picture windows so you can street view all night long. Well worth a visit.

Brick Lane has long had a reputation for really good value restaurants and personally, I've never been disappointed there. With so many restaurants available, they simply HAVE to provide good quality food and good prices or they will soon disappear. However to find one that stands out above the crowd is almost as rare as finding a poor one one.... More

One of many curry houses on Brick Lane that have people outside haranguing you to come in, which I detest, but late at night returning from elsewhere in the area decided to go for the first one we came to, so this was it. Very quick with the drinks and poppodams (drink was rather warm though, weirdly, for a coke),... More

This place could just trade on the reputation of Brick Lane as a place to go for a curry but it doesn't. The food was excellent. I had the Tikka Bhuna Lamb Chops. Bit of a wait as they are cooked fresh but worth it. Rice, poppadoms and Tarka Dhal were all equally good. Highly recommended.

I initially avoided the guy outside trying to get me to come in, and walked past before realising it was the restaurant I was looking for. The place looks a little boring, but the food was excellent!

This was our second visit to Bengal Cuisine and we weren't disappointed. Two bottles of wine - red and white - and two beers, poppadoms, starters, excellent main course with rice and naan for three people all for £30.00. We will be back again next time we visit our daughter. Thanks for a great evening.

As a veteran of Brick Lane staying as I have for the past 11 years in the Ibis Commercial Street, I thought that you couldn't get a good value top notch meal on the Lane. How wrong was I guy, this place does a great deal for any starter, any main, any rice any naan, two pints of cobra and... More
