Superb - A Must go

We've been coming here for over four years. Each dining experience is superb. We moved to a different area in London but Zayna is a must go to restaurant for us. The food is well presented and prepared. It not a huge facility so reservations are absolutely recommended.

We went out of our way to find a nice Indian restaurant in London, and selected this one based on reviews we read. We were not disappointed; in fact, we went there twice in a one week period. The spices and dishes are Pakistani and northern Indian influenced, and we thoroughly enjoyed the taste. Vegetarian samosas, Murgh (Chicken) Shalimar, Mukhan... More

Service was attentive- made us feel welcome and special. Understated but elegant setting in Marble Arch (not Marleybone according to the taxi), great food. Careful, artful use of spices and generous, but not obscene, portion sizes. Highly recommend the mixed grille and Lahori lamb chops.

The food is very tasty. It's obvious that the chef is very talented and the menu have a big variety. The staff is dedicated and efficient and the young manager has a wonderful personality.

Zayna was a lovely restaurant, and the food was good. But it was overpriced for what it was. I took my mother for her birthday, and wanted somewhere that served wonderful North Indian/Pakistani food, but it was probably worth half what we made. It didn't feel very special at all. And the service wasn't very prompt or friendly. The waiter... More

I booked Zayna on the strength of your reviews almost 3 weeks before our intended visit on Saturday 9th May.We arrived on time for our 8:45 booking, first impressions were favourable and we recevied a warm greeting "follow me to your table" the waiter said,we were then taken downstairs to a room no better than a cellar(with a door to the... Dear Jeff C, Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience. It is unfortunate that you did not enjoy your time at Zayna. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee seating to anyone upstairs, especially on a busy weekend. However, we always try our best to accommodate guests' seating requirements. This sometimes may take a while longer as customers... More

If you are looking for your local "curry parlour" do not come here. Top quality Northern Indian cuisine at a reasonable price. Starters: paneer, Dal, eggplant perfect. We went for half portions. Tandoori shrimp perfectly cooked, plump and with an excellent marinade. Chicken mount and spicy. Basmati rice with each grain separate. Excellent selection of leaf teas and surprisingly a... More

As a Pakistani, you have high expectations for such places. But the restaurant has truly delivered a taste beyond expectations and is worth visiting. Location is also great (close to Oxford Street) and great staff :)

This used to be a fantastic Indo-Pakistani restaurant a couple of years back. Indeed, a favorite. We ordered the mixed grill which was still good but the curries were disappointing as they all tasted the same and it took over an hour to receive our starters. They mentioned the owner was traveling and I wonder if that led to the... More

Staying in Marylebone

Neighborhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighborhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
