Always look forward to going back!

Almost a year since we last were in London and dined at Angelus and we were as impressed this time as before. Lovely, intimate dining room - any bigger and it would loose it's charm. Starters of scallops and the mackerel were excellent. Two members of the party shared the Abeedeen Angus Rib of... read more

Great friendly welcome from MD. Provided a French atmosphere. Service was charming. Table setting delightful. However, menu description sexed up what was actually served. I had carrot soup which was indeed delilcious, stuffed beef tomatoes which was pointless and largely uneaten, just a big tasteless tomato stuffed with bland rice and a tablespoon of green stuff. Dessert was profiteroles with... More

This used to be one of our favourite restaurants. We stopped using it because it became very expensive. The service was really good and the foor above average. Their plus point was the wine Cellar !!! Outstanding wimnes from all over the world but mainly french, some of them very expensive.

I had lunch at this restaurant after a web search that gave them quite a favourable review. First impression was not much atmosphere. Had the set lunch which was just OK. Two members of staff couldn't speak English, ordered butter but young waiter obviously didn't understand so didn't get it. Ordered Cointreau from a very pleasant young lady and got... More

Booked this hotel based on good reviews and its proximity to the hotel we were staying in. First impressions were very good. Lovely building, attractive bar area and cosy restaurant. Feels very French . Staff very attentive and food excellent. Only small criticism is that the tables are very close together. Didn't cause us a problem but could feel a... More
