The good old days with a touch of French class

I love this place. An oasis of tranquility in the middle of crazy Lancaster Gate. OK - it is pricey. OK - it is a whole evening's entertainment not an in-and-out-in-sixty kind of s place. But if you want proper conversations with your friends and family, or lovers and business colleagues, this is... read more

We found this restaurant by chance through this web site and wow! we are so glad. The staff were very attentive to make us feel relaxed. Their knowledge of their menu and wines was very good and well placed comments definitely helped us to enjoy the experience to the full. I could on and on telling you about all the... More

I've chosen this place by chance as it's close to my hotel. RestaurAnt is nicely furnished with Art Deco fin de siècle forniture . Service is discreet and very pro-active. I had ham as a starter with some special sauce and fillet as main course, tender and juicy . Red wine Cabernet from South France was also enjoyable. Relatively expensive... More

Went there for my Birthday as part of a weekend away in London and it was perfect. Lovely intimate restaurant with friendly attentive staff giving excellent service. The food was artistically presented and very tasty. I will definitely go back there to try some more delights next time I’m in the area.

Following a conference at a local hotel I rang round a few places recommended to me from my trip advisor app. This was the only one with space for 7 people at short notice on a week night. Why? I have no idea. It is simply a marvellous bistro style boutique restaurant. Fairly informal setup, not a huge space -... More

Business dinner, Restaurent was a bit soulless and even with few diners it was a constant case of chairs being knocked and pushed. Food was good but not too my liking. Unlikely to return but I am sure others will like the place.

This is going to be a short review because there is no point in gilding the lily: this place is as close to perfection as you are ever going to get short of, wallet permitting, a 5* Michelin establishment. The restaurant itself is intimate, beautifully decorated in Art Nouveau style, the welcome was warm and friendly and everything else that... More

Tucked away on a quiet Paddington side street this small very French restaurant is a real find. It occupies a building that once housed a pub with some of the original woodwork remaining. Adding to the cozy but elegant atmosphere are art nouveau mirrors and Venetian glass chandeliers. The food is as agreeable as the atmosphere. Warm mackerel and scallop... More

My girlfriend and I stumbled across this restaurant by chance and had an amazing night. The food was incredible and beautifully presented, wine was delicious and the service extremely impressive. All staff lovely but special shout out to the assistant manager who was particularly charming. Will definitely be coming back when next in London and would highly recommend.

The best french restaurant. All meals were gourgeus. We started with the steak tartare and creme brule with duck, a specialty of the restaurant. Everything was exquisite and delicious. Olivier was knowledgeable and added fun to eat. Main course - posh :) and amazing. Delicious desserts wiyh champaine and sweet wine. Coffee - double esspresso with dark chocolate- the best.... More
