This authentic French restaurant really does feel as good as the "real" not-tourist restaurants you would experience in the back-streets of St Germain or Bastille. A wonderful authentic French dining experience with decor and ambience to match - very special for the atmosphere and the food.

We found our way here wandering around, and came in without a reservation, offering to sit at the bar. They wouldn't hear of it, sat us at a lovely table, and even though we were eating light, showered us with full-service attention. Our dishes themselves were terrific, but so was the amuse bouche, and the plate of cookies that came... More

This is a smallish French Brasserie-type restaurant. We had excellent food there, which, as a set menu, was good value. A la carte is more expensive and the wine list is a bit ambitiously priced. I had fish as both starter and main and both were perfectly cooked. I have never had peach clafoutis (bit like a french bread-and-butter pudding... More

Found this restaurant online, found it down a side street. But there was nothing side street about it. It was a brilliant evening, food and wine were fantastic, and the service was excellent. You need to go.

When I arrive to stay in London, my first choice of eateries is Angelus a very welcoming Brasserie near Hyde Park. The owner, Thierry Thomasin, is most knowledgeable about the cuisine of France and of course the countless wines that come from that country. The white clothed tables set with shining glassware and cutlery are a backdrop for the delicious... More

I booked a table for Angelus a couple of weeks ago, based on a friends recommendation. It was a lovely afternoon/early evening so we sat outside. The service we received was professional and really friendly. The food was delicious, as was the wine. I would not hesitate at all to visit again. Thank you so much for the enjoyable time... More

We were 9 minutes late and he wouldn't honor the price fix menu we requested. He was really rude. He told me he "doesn't care about negative reviews because he has four stars." Well the reason you receive negative reviews is for poor service.

We sat outside on a glorious day but the inside was well appointed too. The food was great, service excellent and the price was very reasonable.

We loved everything about this restaurant. They have a great lunch menu for an excellent price. They have an impressive wine list too.
