Tucked away on a quiet Paddington side street this small very French restaurant is a real find. It occupies a building that once housed a pub with some of the original woodwork remaining. Adding to the cozy but elegant atmosphere are art nouveau mirrors and Venetian glass chandeliers. The food is as agreeable as the atmosphere. Warm mackerel and scallop... More

My girlfriend and I stumbled across this restaurant by chance and had an amazing night. The food was incredible and beautifully presented, wine was delicious and the service extremely impressive. All staff lovely but special shout out to the assistant manager who was particularly charming. Will definitely be coming back when next in London and would highly recommend.

The best french restaurant. All meals were gourgeus. We started with the steak tartare and creme brule with duck, a specialty of the restaurant. Everything was exquisite and delicious. Olivier was knowledgeable and added fun to eat. Main course - posh :) and amazing. Delicious desserts wiyh champaine and sweet wine. Coffee - double esspresso with dark chocolate- the best.... More

I went to Angelus this week for lunch with a business partner and it was one of the best lunches I ever had in London. I opted for the varied and very reasonably priced set lunch menu. First course was a phenomenal artichoke soup, followed by perfectly cooked lamb chops and a passion fruit soufflé which was to die for.... More

But i was disappointed. Bread served in the most unusual way... Amuse bouche was inedible. Main course i wasn't sure what was on my plate - had no semblance of what was on the menu and i left most of it. Ice cream for dessert was underwhelming and overpriced. I like the decor, intimate, dark and calm, but the food... More

We went here after my graduation and I have to say the food was absolutely fantastic! I had a crab salad, followed by lamb and a wonderful light and fluffy soufflé to finish it off .... All in all I can highly recommend this restaurant, its amazing wines and excellent staff! Only one slight issue - when we went there... More

We are early eaters, so the restaurant was empty when we came quarter past five. Still, we were told they were fully booked, but they had a table if we thought we could finish within two hours. We found these terms acceptable. We were a party of four, and two of us had scallops as starters (£17) and goose breast... More

My partner and I sneaked an impromptu visit to Angelus on our way through London last weekend. We were not disappointed. The food was impeccable as always. Make sure you try the signature duck liver crime brûlée starter. Heavenly! Great service from all the staff, who take such pride in their work. It all makes for a very pleasurable dining... More

I have been dining at Angelus on a monthly basis since May, when i discovered it by chance after purchasing a property nearby. th restaurant is open all day, serving brunch, lunch and dinner - the last two on a seasonal menu basis. There is great choice of wine. For some reason the place seems busier at dinner time, when... More
