Where Chefs go to eat

A table of 10 on a very busy night. The food stunning, one of the best cellars in London and incredible service. The staff coped admirably with awkward off-menu requests and did it all with great humour. La Gavroche influence is unmistakable in the ethos, quality and attention to detail - though... read more

I was hosting 18 people from Belgium and we hired the Private Room. Everything was First Class from beginning to the End. Martina was excellent in planning the menu wines etc.. thus ensuring everything was in place in advance The professionalism of the team on the night was to a very high standard as was the food so all in... My birthday treat was a meal out with my family, with a difference! Angelus Restaurant offers diners the opportunity to sit at the chef's table in the kitchen and see what happens in a busy restaurant, as well as receive personal service from the head chef and sommelier. The menu was blind, chosen by the chef, prepared and served by... More

Decided to book a table from looking at the Trip Advisor comments and was not disappointed. My business partner and I were welcomed into this compact and personal restaurant that is full of charm in central (ish) London. The service was superb and food delicious. Will be back and defo recommend to others

I love this restaurant. The food was delicious with interesting dishes. The wine was also good. The service was really special; it was discreet, efficient, friendly and charming. We were lunching with friends and had lots to say to each other whilst the staff took orders, served us attentively and never once interrupted our conversation. The price for the set... More

Recommended by an old friend when I needed a very classy restaurant with ambience. Angelus is just great , excellent wines , if you have won the lottery check out the very fine wines. I went with a discerning chef , he was impressed. So was I. Food to savour for a long time , top service , the chef... More

Stumbled on Angelus when staying nearby. We got lucky and had the last table for two available, even though we had no reservation. One fish, one steak: both exceptional. Wine list (needless to say in a restaurant named after an Appellation) to die for. Prices at the top end obviously set for the local Russian Oligarchs, but super-friendly and not-at-all... More

I chose this restaurant mainly due to location but also because it looked nice, and I wasn't disappointed. The rooms are lovely decorated, very comfortable and with wonderful booth style seating, a particular favourite of mine. Food is very good, different, and plates are of good size, always a bonus. Service was fantastic and we were made to feel very... More
