A very filling and tasty burrito

Popped in here as I had 30 minutes to spare before my train left. I'd never tried this chain of Mexican restaurants before and was very impressed with the flavours of my chicken burrito. It really filled me up. I didn't enjoy the cappuccino and ended up leaving it. I was also surprised at the cost... read more

I went here hoping for a burrito similar to what I would get at Tortilla. What I got was slightly inferior in every way. Plain boiled rice instead of a choice of flavored rice, bland tasting meats, not enough guacamole for the extra 70p, hot salsa that isn't hot and bad wrapping technique. It was very disappointing. The truth is... More

Great taste, great value, great service. Knocks the spots off the others. Really good all round experience plus margaritas.

specialising in burritos and tacos this small mexican chain is well worth a try. It's a conveyor belt type service bar where the staff construct your meal according to your preference. You then take your tray or takeaway and tuck in. My fave is a veg burrito with hot (diablo) salsa and guacamole which comes in at £5.50. It is... More

What's great about Benito's Hat is that food is tasty, portions are good and the price is lower than rivals. I begin to wonder why the others charge so much. For example, BH charges 70p for optional guacamole whilst others charge £1. BH burritos are also a quid cheaper than some rivals. My choice was the slow-braised pork burrito. This... More

Ok it's not southern California but for the last few years this place has saved me a fortune in air fare back to the west coast. Been coming here since they opened and actually had a birthday dinner here one year and stll love it. It's kind of my wrong crush as I always get a burrito for that night... More

I have been living in London for two years and struggled to find quality, authentic Mexican food. Coming from the Bay Area, I have been spoiled by a high supply of reasonably priced Mexican food - highlighted by nights out in the Mission, SF. Benito's Hat was a VERY welcome find after about a year an offers very good, London-affordable... More

My daughter is an expat, lives in London and loves mexican food. She purchased two tickets to Benito's Hat cooking "master class" held at their Great Castle W1 restaurant. I love mexican cuisine and being from the Southwest we have many spots to "taste" and to compare. Ben Fordhem, the owner decided to put together an occasional master class for... More

There are Salads, Burito´s and Taco´s with different fillings which you have to order at a counter. The fillings were already a little cold, but prices where very reasonable.

I have had Mexican food all over including Mexico and mostly Texas. This isn't mexican food. The outlet was the store in Kings Cross station on the mezanine. Had a burito which was at best tasteless and the meat chewy. Not inspired to go back but you have to try these places once, that's what it will be once.
