3* - expect nothing other than the best

I have eaten here three times now (twice for the set lunch and once for the seasonal tasting menu and dinner). The food and ambiance have always been excellent. No better setting than at The Dorchester. The seasonal menu was superb and for a "bargain" lunch a great spot. On my third visit the... read more

We treated ourselves with a diner for a birthday celebration and had very high expectations. The service was absolutely perfect, all the staff were knowledgeable and friendly, always here when needed but never intrusive. The food was very good and tasty (especially the langoustines with the mango vinaigrette), the wines recommended by the sommelier were delicious and the chocolate and... More

For a 3* menu the set lunch is EXCELLENT value. The extras not quoted on the listing mean that for £60 per head you really do get an amazing meal at one the country's best restaurants. I would thoroughly recommend. My meal was a work of art and my dessert the best I've ever tasted (I've eaten at other 3... More

I had a set lunch menu at the Alain Ducasse restaurant last week. It was the best meal I ever had in a restaurant. The food is absolute wonderful, soooo tasty and very fine. The service is impeccable, is formal but friendly, waiters are very professional and helpful. I was lucky to have a quick visit to the kitchen where... More

I am not sure how Alain Ducasse at the Dorchester got three stars from Michelin?! Bribery?! Extortion!? We spend our entire summer visiting Michelin restaurants in Europe and I'm not even sure this restaurant's food is that of a one star. We had the chef's summer tasting menu and the only item that I can even call memorable was a... More

Best restaurant I've ever been too. We opted for the 7-course Summery tasting menu. A true delight, from the selection of breads with whipped cheese to the dessert. I loved it. It's quite dear but worth it. Enjoy.

The most amazing food experience we have ever had. We have eaten in some good restaurants but this was something else. We had the seasonal menu which is 7 courses. Staying in Mayfair

Neighborhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
