This was our first visit to this restaurant. It was lunch and we had 3 a la carte courses. Please don't get me wrong here - we had an enjoyable meal but this was absolutely not 3 stars quality of food! The service was excellent and the young wine waiter a delight to deal with and he managed to find... More

My daughter and I had lunch as part of a day out. It was a complete joy. The service was the perfect mix of attentiveness and discretion, with the staff happy to chat but making sure we were totally at ease. The food was perfect, with a lobster amuse bouche worthy of many places star starter. The wines with the... More

It is somehow easier to review a poor meal. When it is as superlatively good as this you have to search for more and more superlatives to describe the consistently brilliant showcasing of ingredients cooked classically, without resort to theatrics or scientific trickery but with a modern twist which never loses sight of the fact that making the simple stunning... I had such high hopes for this restaurant. It was on my list of ‘would love to visit’ but fell far short of what I had hoped for and nowhere near the standard I would expect of a three star restaurant. When I compare to Restaurant Gordon Ramsey, it is not even close. The Dorchester is a rather grand hotel... More

My wife and I went here to celebrate our first year anniversary. It is a beautiful setting in a beautiful hotel. You are made to feel special as soon as you arrive. I did struggle somewhat with the strong French accents of the hosts but enough of me asking them to repeat themselves soon got me back on track. The... More

It was my first time dining in a 3 stars Michelin restaurant. I enjoyed the whole atmosphere and food. I went for lunch menu with wind pairing. I think it was value for money.

For my birthday, I was lucky enough to be in London. I was so impressed with this restaurant, which was not in London last time I was at the Dorchester. I have been to Alain Ducasse in Paris, Monaco and Hong Kong and was impressed so I was looking forward to sampling the food at his London restaurant. Staying in Mayfair

Neighborhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
