Visited with my partner and we both had the 7 course tasting menu. The first course was crab topped with jelly and a half teaspoon of caviar on top. It was like somebody had opened a can of cat food and served it. It was totally inedible for me. My partner is a fish lover and even he could not... More

My husband took me here for my birthday, and at these prices he was glad it only happens once a year!! However, it was a truly memorable experience. The waiters were friendly, efficient and very helpful. The tables were spaced out and beautifully dressed whilst the atmousphere was a bubbling undercurrent of people enjoying their food and the "event". Now,... More

I dined at lunch on the tasting menu. Every course was a hit, the venison being exceptional. What WAS the magic ingredient in the jus? Chocolate, the waiter told me! Speaking of staff, they were exceptional also. They knew as much about the food as the staff cooking it. I was impressed at being asked specifically how I found the... More

I don't often give five star ratings on TripAdvisor though Alain Ducasse at the Dorchester thoroughly deserves it. We had the tasting menu which is an excellent way of exploring the a la carte (although it is very different style to his restaurant at the Plaza Athanee in Paris, and also significantly cheaper!) and they were happy to change any... Visited the restaurant for dinner on the 10th January. The staff were outstanding from the moment we arrived, some of the French accents were difficult to understand but we just asked them to repeat themselves and all was well. Michelin starred restaurants seem to fall into two categories. Those that demonstrate highly technical cooking and deliver dishes full of surprises... More

This place is NOT worthy of three stars by a long stretch and I wanted to share our disappointment with last night's meal, so others might avoid spending a lot of money on an average meal and a large disappointment. My wife and I had made reservations at the restaurant well in advance to be the highlight of our fifth... More

Came here for lunch on Tuesday with two friends of mine. Excellent service and lovely attention from the staff. An outstanding menu, the kitchen never fails to impress. Perfect presentation, splendid taste, wonderful service. Faultless. This remains my favourite restaurant in London. Extreme attention to detail, warm & friendly personal recognition and an amazing experience all round. Keep up the... More

The business lunch is great value with three courses, wine, coffee and water included as well as complimentary additional courses and nibbles. Excellent service but not stuffy, although we rarely see young people in the restaurant our eighteen year old grandson felt relaxed throughout and really enjoyed his first Michelin three star experience.

Stayed @ the Dorchester for a long weekend, Evening, as my partner returned from the front desk she passed the door to the Alain Ducasse restaurant, she asked if she could look around, when she got back to my position at the Promanade bar some 10 mins later she was buzzing and informed me they had put us down on... We recently had lunch at this restaurant. The staff were fantastic, helpful, skilled and it was amazing to see how well they all worked together - like a seamless production. We have enjoyed food at many Michelin star restaurants, so were really looking forward to eating in what was supposed to be one of the top 3 restaurants in England.... More
