Pit stop

We stopped here for a cup of tea and a slice of cake, both were really good. Service was efficient and friendly and the price was very good for london. Would recommend and return

We had the breakfast which included sausage, bacon, beans, scrambled eggs and toast. Although the portion was small I found it was perfect for me and the ingredients of good quality. Great little fine.

Been eating breakfast and lunch at this neighborhood gem for 20 years. Traditional menu, great "tea" sandwiches. A bit crowded at times and sometimes understaffed. You wont be overwhelmed by the atmosphere but the intimate dining room and fine food will keep you coming back

My friend and I went for breakfast, and ordered their special. It said it came with toast with jam, marmalade or honey. We were given jam & not offered alternatives. The toast didn't arrive with the cooked food and after 10 minutes, we had to go and find a waitress and ask. She snapped, "It's coming."! Another 5 minutes passed... More

I went to this tea room after having visited Notting Hill. The prices are really pleasant for this area of London. I had a Muffin Man Tea menu, with a pot of tea, an English muffin with butter and jam and the cake of my choice. I choose the Chocolate Fudge cake with the white chocolate topping and I was... More

We walked past here going to our hotel and I admit, the name impressed me and I wanted to go! Having dumped some stuff back at hotel one lunchtime, we decided to give it a go. My husband went for a toastie and enjoyed it (that is a good sign as he doesn't say very much). Trying to be healthy,... More

The lovely Muffin Man breakfast which includes tea, coffee and orange juice. The restaurant gets very busy and you sometimes have to queue but the wait is well worth it. The Muffin Man attracts visitors from all over the world and you can meet so many interesting people. A lovely place to have breakfast.

Whilst in London m boyfriend and I ate here every morning for breakfast. We had porridge, cooked breakfasts and pots of tea. Perfect way to start a busy day without the expense you expect in London. Cooked breakfast + porridge, honey and tea for two = £13. Would go again :)

My friend and I had breakfast in this Cafe and it was lovely piping hot and delicious .The service was very good and the prices weren't outrageous...the only negative comment is that the stairway to the Toilet is very narrow so larger than average people would find it a struggle to squeeze down the stairs .

Popped in on the way to my hotel. To my surprise it was really great! Loved the Devonshire Tea - it reminded me of childhood!

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
