I was surprise how an oriental cuisine could be so delicate. Best thai I've tried in London. We really appreciate the food and the service was ok.
I have now visited this restaurant on several occassions. The first time was a bit of a disappointment as we were clear that there should not be nuts on any dishes due my allergy but because of the language barrier, they didn't understand. Unfortunately when we tried to point this out to them they were saying that this had not... More
Upstairs was empty. Wanted to sit near window. Was reserved. Stuck on a horrible table in the middle of the restaurant. Service was poor. Either rushed or really slow. Had to ask for refills. Food was excellent. Green Thai curry, chicken satay was excellent. I had Penang gai which was lovely. Be prepared for hesitant service but excellent food
I've had some decent laksa but in London, this is one of the tasty ones. The laksa was creamy and great consistency (i could taste shrimp paste in it) , the seafood portion was generous and the size just perfect for lunch. The service was quick and if you don't get there by 12.30pm or 1pm on a weekday, you'd... More
I've been here a few times now and not once have I been disappointed with the food or service. There are several Thai places in my neck of the woods (South London) that I would class as better, but this is definitely worth a visit if you're around Liverpool street. My favourite is the Pork Jungle curry, they actually do... More
It's sad when it's necessary to write a negative review of a restaurant you've previously reviewed positively. I've been visiting Mudmee a few times a year when in London for 5 years or so, and have reviewed it positively in the past. Maybe they've had staff changes; my visit last night was a big disappointment. First the waiter brought the... More
I have been here in my lunch break and was served very quickly considering they were very busy. I booked a table for two on a Thursday evening recently. As we walked in it was not busy we were served quickly and had attentive friendly service throughout the evening. The food was so delicious I am looking forward to going... More
Mudmee never disappoints for great Thai food at reasonable prices. If you go for their lunchtime express menu, the service is really quick and the food really tasty. My personal favourite is the Vegetable Green Curry. It is also conveniently located near Liverpool Street station in a very quaint, picturesque little road.
Authentic and reasonably priced That food. I make a point of going there when I'm in London and within striking distance. Thai friends seem to rate it!
Having visited Mudmee twice now, I still can't make up my mind about it and I think the 4 star rating is more biased towards value rather than taste. The place is very small and so it does get busy quick, if there is a group of you, it is best to book. The menu is very very extensive, which... More
