Too busy... But amazing!

Wedding Anniversary Mini Break Review... Went in for a quick drink before a tour on 21/7/15. Nice place and full of Holmes. Very busy so sat outside on pavement with a pint. If your ok with that as we were, and it's part of the pubs attraction, then go there for a nice Holmes experience. Simply... read more

Haven't had toad in the hole for 30 years and wasn't disappointed. Great little pub with good food in a convenient location, quiet enough to sit outside and have a drink without battling too much traffic noise.

This pub is an absolute gem. Great pints of Guinness and fantastic food. The Toad in a Hole is a must. Fabulous bar staff who couldn't do enough for us.

If you love Sherlock Holmes - skip the museum and it's prices and go have some food or a pint at the Sherlock Holmes Public House and Restaurant. It is a great place.

Looks so inviting on the outside! Some neat stuff inside too but don't look too close-quite dirty. We were hungry and didn't have high expectations and still the food wasn't good. Disappointing!

Stopped in for a few pints, lots of locals after work. Servers were friendly and the ambiance was quaint/historical.

This was cheaper than shelling out money to see the Sherlock Holmes Museum on Baker Street. Do make sure that you go up to the 2nd floor if only for a look around. We managed to get there while the chef was on his break and waited for an less than average meal. My friend ordered the beef Sandwich which... More

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighborhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
