We were needing a break from full on tourist madness and were recommended by a London relative. Upstairs away from the bar was a pleasant surprise. It was very busy on the day we were there with a large table booked for a travel group. Our waiter was extremely helpful and friendly. My husband and brother had the cooked Camembert... More

Every time we arrive in London the first place we have to stop is the Sherlock Holmes pub. Great craft beers and our favorite fish and chips in towne.

The Sherlock Holmes pub might not be the biggest pub, but its decent selection of beers and ales - as well as its central location - make it one to visit. It's right next to Trafalgar Square, so you can grab a pint or some food and then go see the sights. There are a number of splendid beers on... More

A charming, typically English pub. It is a fun place to visit with a decent variety of ales and ciders. The food is typical pub fare, but the atmosphere and memorabilia is what makes the place.

A great spot off Trafalgar Sq. For traditional pub food @ a reasonable price. Reservations recommended in the evening. The locals eat here so you know you're in a good place. Great atmosphere!

We stopped here for an afternoon break and enjoyed the food as well as the atmosphere. There is a whimsical Hound of the Baskervilles to enjoy.

I'd never had treacle before so was really excited to have some after an excellent dinner. Pricing was good for London and quaint atmosphere. I got a large piece of cake smothered in warm custard which flooded the plate (and I think it was maple syrup also, not sure I remember correctly). It was a wonderful dessert and I still... More

The Sherlock Hotel near Trafalgar Square is a very popular watering hole for locals and tourists. Upstairs is its restaurant where a hearty meal can be purchased (best to book a table as it is extremely popular). Meals are good, basic, pub meals, staff are always welcoming and friendly. It is a pub we always return too.

We popped in for a quick drink and to dry out at this friendly, British local. Bar staff were friendly and helpful and there was a good range of drinks. Appears to be popular with locals and the bathrooms were excellent!
