For the Sherlock Holmes fan it is a pilgrimage! The re-creation of the study shared by Holmes and Watson at 221b Baker Street is "faithful" to Conan Doyle's description ... you can almost feel the next mystery walking in the door with Inspector Lestrade! This pub is always crowded ... so you have to be forgiving of sometimes slow service.... More

Not a great pub to go for a drink as it is full of tourists. Much prefer to go to pub that caters more for locals. It is not the fault of the pub ,but the name attracts tourist.

Off the beaten path and the risk paid off :) Lovely little lunch with the most delicious ham. The server kept calling me darling and they served me breakfast at lunch time... what's not to love?

Went in here during the St Patrick`s Day parade . Absolutely heaving but they still delivered drink and food quickly. Good old-fashioned décor close to Trafalgar square. Worth a visit

I really appreciate the fish & chips with a very big piece of very good fish! You need to go to the first floor for eating and discover the Sherlock Holmes memorial :)

The atmosphere was inviting and the location was convenient. The menu offered a nice variety of "Pub Food".

This place trades off the name and gambles on the fact that the majority of customers never return. The drinks are OK, if a little expensive but, hey, it is in central London. But for food it is appalling. £10.50 for a "ploughman's" which consisted of a small wedge of Tesco Value Cheddar, one pickled onion, two slices of medium... More

Noisy, busy place with great atmosphere of old England. Very fast service, professional staff. Good food for a bit higher price.

Neighborhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
