Let's start with the positives. A restaurant based on Sherlock Holmes in London is a nice idea. there were many photos lining the walls of the many stage and film incarnations of the character and of course, Dr. Watson. I was excited to go there as a fan of the fiction. There was also a "sitting room" upstairs that was... More

Yeah, it's Sherlock and yeah that is cool. But honestly I have experienced better pubs on my four days stay in London. I did enjoy sitting outdoors though. Totally worth the extra ££. Wide range of uncommon beers and ales with funny names - but the Sherlock didn't taste as good as I had wished. There is a "museum" upstairs,... More

Stella served in the correct glass, £10 limit on debit card, no sign up to indicate this? Proseccho poured into a measuring tin, cannot be seen by the customer so not sure if correct amount poured. When I mentioned this to the lady she replied that we should see it poured into a glass because of the froth the drink... More

We came here twice - once for lunch and once for dinner. Both times the restaurant was packed, so definitely try to reserve if you can. The food was good both times and the two staff who work in the restaurant are friendly and attentive, however, they can have trouble with a full restaurant. As long as you are not... More

We ate here on a trip to London on a tired night without a booking. Dropping by at 6pm, we were told to come back in 20 minutes, by which stage there was a long queue and we suffered looks of envy as we sidled past to our ready table. It was pretty clear soon why the place is so... More

I went with kids mad about Sherlock Holmes and sat upstairs where the memorabilia-filled 'museum' is. It was early, midday, so the room was still empty and we could choose a table right in front of the glass panel that divides the restaurant from Sherlock's sitting-room. We had fish and chips and Sunday roast (I chose pork, delicious), and we... More

Lovely pub, used to be my favourite in the area. Sadly the last couple of times I've been there I've stood waiting at the bar to be served while staff have a 5 min personal chat, eventually gave up and went elsewhere. Shame....

Was rather busy but we found a seat upstairs. Started out with the house pub, dark but good taste. I had the fish & chips with mushy peas. Very good.
