Great memorabilia...

We had a goodish lunch at this busy pub, I think it is the start or end of a special London tour. Full of tourists at lunchtime, good service and beers though.

What a fantastic restaurant, we booked a table online. The food is amazing and staff there are out to make the experience of eating at this restaurant special. We were in London for a girly weekend and I have to say this was definitely one of the highlights. After our dinner upstairs we continued our night downstairs in the lovely... More

Popped into the famous Sherlock Holmes pub yesterday for a few drinks and ended up having the most amazing Fish and Chips. Staff were great and they were able to recommend a great English ale. Will definitly call in again!

I have visited this pub on two different occasions - the second was for my birthday. This pub has a wonderful atmosphere. The service was good both times I have been there and the food was too. It really is a pub you have to visit - even if it is just for a drink. The pub is always packed... More

Classic fish and chips were outstanding, burgers and sliders rounded out our lunch for three. They offered a nice selection of beers along with complimentary tastes to help us decide. Friendly staff and atmosphere rounded out our lunch experience.

We should have known this wasn't going to be great when they told us our booking hadn't been recorded and we had to wait for a table. I went to this pub with my flatmates yesterday for a roast dinner. The meal was advertised as a traditional roast, piping hot with all the trimmings. It wasn't hot, only 1 out... More

Great little pub not far from Trafalgar Square. Looks traditional and was very warming. Location is easy to find and atmosphere is charming.

Lovely pub with excellent food, coffee and beer. It's highlight the menu (based on the characters). Have Mrs Hudson's homemade steak and ale pie.

Visited with friends for pre-Christmas drinks. I also had food, which was very tasty, although that could have just been luck. Staff very helpful, but the pub is clearly understaffed at busy times. Two points: 1) The toilets need investment. Not all the taps are attached to their respective wash basins, and the same goes for the toilet roll holders... More

Food is great and service is superb. It also helps that the staff are charmingly cheerful and nice. Best of all is the Sherlock Holmes memorabilia upstairs. There's a whole room devoted to the great sleuth's knicknacks.

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighborhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
