The steak 'n ale pie was so dang good! The meat melted in my mouth and Tim loved his bowl of mussels once again! Enjoy!!

We had to go in because I'm a huge Sherlock Holmes fan. The fish and chips were decent, but they have a good beer selection.

It's a compact little pub which attracts both locals and tourists alike. Reasonable priced drinks and what looked like good pub fare though we didn't eat. The Sherlock Holmes Room upstairs is fantastic if you're a fan and the staff are extremely obliging if you want to have a look.

The Pub is fun to visit and "neck a pint". Then go upstairs to enjoy a great meal. We had a great time,

Enjoyed a tasty tea here with my family before going to a show. We reserved a table but we didn't need to as restaurant upstairs was empty. Staff very helpful and friendly. We also had a drink in the bar downstairs which was very busy, people were even outside drinking, pity they didn't have any table or chairs outside for... More

Do not eat here, one female staff member exceptionally aggressive and rude. Food came late and had to be sent back as stone cold, when brought back was only like warm and was clearly same food just microwaved... Cannot explain in words just how bad it was

Dropped in with a couple of business colleagues for a late evening beer. As mentioned in other reviews, was pretty full and a lot of tourists which is understandable given name, representation of and homage to Arthur Conan Doyle's famous consulting detective. Abundance of tourists from around the World adds to experience and demonstrates popularity of Holmes. Didn't eat but... More

For the Sherlock Holmes fan it is a pilgrimage! The re-creation of the study shared by Holmes and Watson at 221b Baker Street is "faithful" to Conan Doyle's description ... you can almost feel the next mystery walking in the door with Inspector Lestrade! This pub is always crowded ... so you have to be forgiving of sometimes slow service.... More

Not a great pub to go for a drink as it is full of tourists. Much prefer to go to pub that caters more for locals. It is not the fault of the pub ,but the name attracts tourist.

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighborhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
