One of the most traditional pubs in the city

Noisy, busy place with great atmosphere of old England. Very fast service, professional staff. Good food for a bit higher price.

A great few displays on Sherlock Holmes. Had a pint and a browse of the display cabinets around the pub showing various memorabilia from Sherlock Holmes. The pub is a bit hidden down a side street. It was quite full but we still managed to get a seat. The staff were fast and efficient with service and the pub was... More

Love Sherlock and had to come by, and so glad we did. There's so much on display and the staff is very helpful even when the place is heaving with locals and tourists alike. The food we had was great, the salmon tasty and fresh, the meat pie a delight, and toad in the hole gained a new fan. Enjoy!

We had already eaten so this stop was purely for drinks. This is a cool pub within a nice area. The inside is obviously themed around the man himself. One of the cool things is you can buy merchandise with the pub logo on it which is a nice touch. Not the biggest of pubs but still good all the... More

Visited for a family meal at the end of a long day. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Lots of Sherlock Holmes memorabilia to see. Food order was placed no problems at all when it arrived it was well cooked and tasty. Didnt feel rushed at any point as you can be in some places. If you want good tasty... More

I am sad to write this poor review. My husband and I popped in for a quick dinner while our infant son napped in his carrier. We were not served a beverage for over 30 minutes, and our server did not take our food order for another 20 minutes after that. We had expressed our hope to her that we... More

The location looks rare between two buildings, the facade looks almost fake and the museum inside too, but....excellent Ale, fush and chips, and good apple pie. Great service too.

We stopped here for a pint en route to a later engagement, I hadn't been for about 10 years as the location is slightly off the beaten track for me. However, I was glad to see so many beers on tap and couldn't resist a drop of 6X, the wife enjoyed the Brew Dog IPA. Venue was buzzing and quite... More

Neighborhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
